To SBF, did you see the Simon goal? At first glance it looked like Jovo pushed him into Cloutier but the after the replay you could tell Simon didn't try and get out of the way.

man i seriously think the game has been unreal. I didnt know hockey like this excisted anymore two blown goalie interference calls though. Aside from that the reffing has been great. you guys really need to know how hard it is to ref a game like this, going up and down the ice at probably as fast a pace as theyve seen.

Also after seeing the replay on the Naslund goal, Clearly Kipper throws himself after he is bumped. He makes no effort to get in position.

Jovo bummped him, but only as much as Simon did to Clouts.

2-1 final...well, the Flames got some bounces tonight, but they sure earned them. A very hard fought game. The Canuck PP has to be better, Cloutier has to be more focused because even though it may *look* like the play is dead, it isn't! Great game by Kiprusoff, the Canucks need to crash the net more.

Also, Ville Nieminen needs to take more penalties

This remind me of the whole Hasek situation when we went up 2 on the wings... he said he was bad.. then he bounced back and stoned us for the next 4..

What a tight game. I'm obviously glad that Calgary came out with the win, but Vancouver had the pressure on right til the end.

Finally!
Great game. I thought I was going to have a heart attack at the end there.
1-1 going to Calgary!

Yeah, that was a hell of a game for sure.

So, now that the Flames have tasted their first playoff win in 8 years, think they'll be happy with that and go away?

Haha, you'd better hope so! This is going to be a tough series both ways.

Great game by Kipper, but he really should have tried to get back into the play when he was bumped on that goal. He kind of just sat there and looked at the ref. He's got to play the whistle.

From Maclean's walk-through that missed call seems like an unfortunate incident of bad luck for the refs. Can't really blame them.

I didn't think Kiprusoff was that great, in fact I thought he seemed to be out of position a lot, flopping around and such. He benefitted because the Flames defense did a terrific job of keeping the Canucks to the perimeter.

Not trying to say he was bad, but it's not like he stole the game or anything.

Especially the first two minutes of the game.... The Canucks could easily have been up two goals right off the puck drop.

No kidding.

Actually nine years since the Flames last won a post-season game. Game 5 WQF vs San Jose in '95 I believe.

I sure wish the NHL would do something to increase scoring in the playoffs. These 2-1 games are soooo dull! :lol

Wow, one of the best hockey games I've seen this year. Outstanding effort from both teams. Dallas/Colorado was a snoozer by comparison.

That was one hell of a hockey game.

The Inuit region feed was on Center Ice for the game. The commercials painted a pretty gloomy picture of the region, it seemed that almost every other ad was about domestic violence, littering, or the dangers of smoking.

Cloutier played so good. He was maybe caught on the second goal, not being set, but it came out of nowhere. After that he shut the door, and was very solid.
