Protect your goalie!

I can't bear to watch this anymore, next person who runs Henrik needs to leave in a metaphorical stretcher. What is going on here? Protect your best player. Man up and fight someone.

Or we can suck it up, take the powerplay, and embarrass them even more...

Vally was getting run also. Gotta protect them when they are stationary and vulnerable. It's the same in every sport, especially hockey.

Next game against the Leafs, Blake has to pay.

I don't care how small he is, you send Brashear after him for going after our Captain and going after our Goaltender.

You wanna play that game? Be prepared to pay the price.

Avery looked like he was going to pound on Blake but I was glad to see him control himself and take the PP instead.

Our team is full of 170 lbs kids and pretty-boys, they certainly won't protect Hank.

If anything Hank should go after the guys running into him, similar to how Marty goes after Avery.

They should have went after them for taking 3 runs at Henrik. But 7-2 might be painful enough.

Our "pretty boys" are 5-1-0 right now and lead the league in goals.

I was a little upset that no one went after Mayers as I felt his was worse then Blake's...

Plus wouldn't beating up Blake be a hate crime anyway?

Whatever. Should be fun on Saturday.

No one runs Osgood, Fleury, Biron last year/Emery now or Theodore. It's not because of the fighting after they get run, it's because of their powerplays. That crap is going to stop real soon.

Henrik got run last year, Orr would fight their tough guy and our powerplay would go 0-8.

I don't want to speak in extremes, we will have to fight over this every now and then. But if our powerplay develops into a lethal weapon, teams will beware. Our inept powerplays of the past gave teams a greenlight to take our best player off his game mentally.

If you watch the replay closely you see that Mayers' foot collided with one of the Rangers defenders (Callahan?) and he lost control and went into Henrik. Its not very often that you see opposing players crash into the goalie to intentionally try to hurt them.

Well blake takes the goalie destroyer award for the night, he almost ended toskala's season by cross checking drury into his face, I'm really not a fan of the whole smashing opposing players into your own goalie play. As a goalie I get so mad seeing that, mike smith is on the bench for the lightning because of a similar **** head play by ryan malone, enough already.

I seen that, heck I've been in that situation both as a goalie and as a forward. Jamal needed a poke in the lips for that, at the very least. Especially since I think that was the 3rd or 4th time Henrik was run.

I was appalled at the "crash at will" mentality the leafs had MAINLY because it was going unscathed. We played a great game but someone needed to feel the pain other than the scoreboard.
