Let's just say he makes Chara look like Patrick Kane.

He has a BMI of exactly 0 too.

And if they need to they can put goalie pads on him. In that case he'll be held to only a hat trick and 3 assists.

Even if the game is in french on RIS , i wont watch that feed . I dont want the hear the announcers talk about the Habs every 5 minutes .
I'll watch the Toronto Feed will be less painfull to hear.

I have the feeling that Duchene may score tonight , he's half way through his 9 games " try out " they will have to make a decision soon about him.

On another note , the Leafs hasnt won yet and that's scare me a little, they are due for a win sooner or later .

I would stay quietly until the buzzer ends on 3rd period. Don't forget that we have been outshot in the third for most games.

I don't think the Avs will send Duchene back to juniors even if he doesn't get a goal in the next few games.

Anyone in Canada can watch the game for free on NHL.com

Anyways, go Avs.

Sucks to see Budaj in net, bc i dont want to see the Leafs get there first win against the "lowly, rebuilding Avalanche".

I say the Avs win a tough battle...5-4. Matty nets his first goal of the year!

No. Gustavsson has a $900k salary this year. His cap hit is $2.5M.

If Toskala is injured, who do the Leafs have at #4 to back up MacDonald? Reimer?

Of course the one time the Avs play in Leafs territory the game is on Leafs TV, which is a channel I don't have. I guess it's illegal stream time for me.

I don't exactly like it if they're freaking out. Makes us seem real stupid when we lose. I like being the underdogs, because we are terrible in a position of superiority.

Hopefully Duchene can get his first goal tonight.

Sacco needs to change up the lines because not only is the Duchene line not scoring, they are also getting scored on more than anyone else. Svatos is a team worst -5 and Duchene is right behind him at -4.

In Dater's blog he has a video where Jones gives a lot of credit to Steve Konowalchuk for his readiness. I can't play the vid at work so I don't know exactly what he says, but man, if Jonesy channels even half of what Kono brought to the table I'll be more than happy with him.

I agree with everyone else--the Duchene/Svatos tandem has to be broken up NOW. It's not working. At. All. While Duchene could be in time one of the most complete players in the game, I have to say Svatos is one of the most incomplete. Despite good hands and decent speed the guy is only really effective in front of the net. Bump him down a line where he can still get enough time to score the occasional goal, use him on power plays, and put Jonesy and Galiardi with Duchene and see what happens.

I'm sure someone's mentioned it, but tonight marks Tyler Bozak's NHL debut. Damn the Leafs for making me root against him in his first game!!!

I'd like to see what Stewart could do on the Duchene line. The game (in preseason) where the Avs got blown out by the Blues they played together, both scored a goal, and both were the only plus players on the team.

I too would like to see Stewart - Duchene - Jones. Barring that, Galiardi - Duchene Jones would be just as good. Just get Svatos off that line. Tucker and McLeod too.

Meh, Stewart has just never crossed me as a guy that will get out of the fifteen goal range. And you've pretty much got McLeod with Stewart then, except a slower McLeod. Not to mention the fact that he has played terrible so far this season, so we would be rewarding him for terrible play by putting him on the second.

Galiardi - Duchene - Jones sounds much better.

Wasn't Stewart playing with Duchene to start the season? I seem to recall it was a McLeod-Duchene-Stewart line, which was all kinds of wrong on paper (and practice).

Assuming the skeleton is North American and is over 6 foot, it's all the same to Burke.

Stewie has great hands though. It's impossible to know where he's headed, but I think he deserves a look with Duchene.
