you keep saying grabs should be benched.

For what besides his FO%?

Poni-Bozak-Stalberg? Or is Poni too slow for that line. I wouldn't mind that one.

Or go all speed with Kulemin-Bozak-Stalberg.
I like Poni there Shep.. he's a big body and is a very underrated skater!

If Blake doesn't score last night he'd probably be benched.

about time some of the under achievers get benched. Hopefully Beauch, stemp and blake sit next game unless there is some immediate improvement

Really?
If scoring saved him....then why bench Stajan if he's scored the most goals on the team and more than Blake?

I agree, Finger's played almost perfect hockey other then the Sid tip in front of the net Saturday night where Finger was not where he was supposed to be. He's been throwing some nice hits and has looked like one of our better defenders.

Because Wilson doesn't like Stajan.

But that's okay, Wilson will only be here for a couple more months, and then we can get a better coach.

He should be benched regardless.

When he drove the Rangers player into Toskala and took a stupid penalty that changed the game. He also took a stupid goaltender interference penalty.

Stajan should be in, Blake should be out!

Did Stajan even play last night ? I don't remember his name coming up at all, do you? He sure was invisible out there and that's not what you want from your leading scorer in a 7-2 thrashing.. that is why he is benched tonight, I can guarantee it!

Because of the following ...

Outside of Kaberle and Stempniak - maybe Wallin, Finger & Kulemin - no one should be spared.

Thats pretty accurate. I can't believe people think Stempniak should be benched. But I guess because he was acquired by Cliff

Stajan also makes 1.75m wich is a lot less the a bunch of players on this team especially the 4m that is being paid to Blake.

Dollar for dollar Stajan is one of our best players. This is something few fans take into account in a salary cap world. There is too many guys making big money who aren't producing.

Yeah, that's about it. Not a Stempniak fan but it's hard to deny the effort is there this season.

For everything? Can you honestly name one positive from Grabovski all season?

I don't think I've ever seen him successfully carry the puck into the opposition zone so far this season, yet he still tries on every single play. He is knocked off the puck with ease, doesn't use his linemates, and has absolutey zero defensive game.

I'm sure when benching someone Burke and Wilson don't go "He's making 1.75, lets bench him and not Blake"..

Now, I'm not saying Stajan deserves it anymore then Blake does.. it's just he was invisible last night.. and I'm sure the pressbox will be filled with lack-luster performers.. gotta get these guys going somehow.. I just think Hagman and Stajan are the first of many!

Agreed. Beautiful hip check in the third. Unfortunately it was too late for the Buds. If the Leafs could provide some presence like that hit like that early in the game it could potentially change the entire dynamic.

Stempniak has probably been the most consistent player when it comes to effort. He's trying every shift and has surprised me quite a bit. There are definitely alot more forwards who are worthy of a bench before him.

We know from last year Grabovski is a RW sweetie. He could go a month without producing and he'd still be dressed.

FFS! Let's take the only guy worth a damn on the powerplay out, and the guy with our best FO%. Sitting Stajan is the dumbest move they can possibly make.

For his awful turnover last night and the fact he consistently brings down his linemates.

Do we still need Jamal Mayers on this team?????

Rosehill does his job at less than half the price and has a two way contract.
