Boardy barn

That place is a collection of filth I hope they shut down... I hate seeing those idiots walk around with yellow smiley face stickers all over their bodies. Everyone there always starts trouble as you can see weekly in the LI news.

Obviously it's hard to judge what happened without being there, but it does sound like the officer is in the wrong here. More than likely a frustrated Islanders fan

And the Lisin line was awesome. As well as the "shooooot" one.

Come on guys dont jack the thread off-topic with politics and stuff.

I posted this story half because I thought I could make a joke about the cop being a devils or isles fan, and how it was a bit excessive to do it to a bunch of jovial Rangers fans.

I did not do it to debate politics

I dont know about all you people saying they are close with law enforcement officers and say they arent corrupt. All officers will instantly back another regardless of who was right/wrong. It is almost like an organized street gang. Yes there are those who 'serve and protect' and are rational... But in the end that same officer will turn his back on you for another comrade. And that is a problem. Officers will always be above the law. Just obey the law and stay out of their way. That's how I look at it...

I did the math last season with the $8.50 price of beer they are making approx $950-$1000 a 1/2 keg of beer.... With the increased pricing, over $1,000+

Oh okay.... You talked to the witnesses directly...

I was going to say that I'm sure the people in the later cars all they heard was "gun" and started moving back and forming their own conceptions of what was going in.... Was going to say that only the people in the 1st car can speak for what transpired.....

The officer's version:

Quote:
"It started out with cursing, disrespecting people, drinking," he said.

He said he told the group, "You have two choices: Stop the drinking, stop the cursing, stop the smoking, the disrespect by everybody, or I escort you off the train."

He continued: "A rumble ensued. I had my gun on me. They were coming at me. We were fighting, throwing blows. . . . I pulled out my gun, pointed it at the subjects. It was two against one."

Later Tuesday, he was no longer talking. He returned home just after 5 p.m. When he saw reporters, he sprinted to his front door.

Passengers' version:
Quote:

According to court papers, Hendrick, unprovoked, grabbed one of the hockey fans, Snyder's boyfriend, Scott Cummings, of Miller Place, and wrestled with Cummings. Later, Hendrick put Cummings and another hockey fan, Michael Gubista, in a headlock, according to statements the 8-year-old's father, Keith Smith, gave to investigators

Hendrick then backed up a couple feet and aimed the gun at the fans; Margaret Smith grabbed her daughter and ran to the opposite end of the train. With Hendrick's gun drawn, "The passengers in the car began ducking and screaming," Byers told investigators.

I don't see how a grown man who wears a Pluto sweater could act in such a way.

Man, just read up some more on this. This cop seems to have acted inappropriately. We all know that most cops hate getting an attitude, and i am starting to think he was mad that the guys were mouthing off to him and pulled his gun out for that reason instead. he certainly seems like the aggressor.

that being said, this is a prime example of why people need to stop acting up in public. there are way too many Disney-loving sickos out there

Wow how different the story is from both sides.

Considering how many witnesses say the cop was wrong, I'm going to go out on a limb and agree with the majority. Even bystanders with no reason to side with anyone say the cop was the aggressor? Good enough for me.

Now I respect law enforcement officers a lot, I'm conservative big patriot act supporter etc. etc., but this sounds like a power trip just from the officers quotes and quotes from passengers of what he said and did (especially "You don't know whats going on your just a conductor", and "letting them know whos boss") to name two.

Yea the Garden was quiet on Sunday night. Although I tend to think the Rangers supporters are never loud enough.
