our best power play guy. geesh thats what i get for reflecting about dan paille... "he is the perfect guy to have as a fill in "

either way they are on a role. what is this defense! they are making bills fans unstable.

Well, guys have to step up. Vanek's been good but I wouldn't say that he's the main reason for their good play early this season. IIRC their record was ok last year when Vanek went out but it went south after Miller's injury.

There's no need to call someone up. If you're not going to play Paille when the space opens up, trade him

I'd like to see Gerbe. Ruff called him a top-6 guy. Let's see if he can come in and snipe.

well you could pop Ellis up. He has the ability to be a 3rd liner.

Or you just move Paille up and see if his fire and hunger from being benched helps

Just watched the replay on NHL network. It looks like a wrist. He didn't hit the boards too hard, so perhaps just a sprain?

Ditto. I give Paille two games to show some sort of fire and if that isn't happening, make the call.

If Paille shows he can play, great. Maybe it will interest someone enough that they can get a pick for him when they start to get healthy.

"just"? Hell, I hope for no broken growth plate. They're going to need him. Let's see what the vets can do to keep the kids going with this test.

"just" is relative - and now that it's been mentioned, I'm stuck with the Max wrist break from '07 as a comparison. That break ruined him.

No he didn't, he slid feet first. HIs arms never touched the boards. He fell backward and may have landed on his right elbow. That's what I saw.

I'm pretty sure Lindy said in the postgame that it happened earlier in the shift.

He banged hard, and kinda awkwardly, with May earlier in that shift, and from the looks of that collision, I'd have to guess it was up in the left shoulder area.

Yeah, it wasn't on the goal itself.....NHL.com has the highlights up already, and he wasn't slashed or anything on the goal play. And then he landed on his RIGHT wrist, when it seemed like it was the left side that was the problem (seeing him on the bench holding left arm).

So no, it had to have happened earlier.

Yea, looks like the collision with May is probably where it happens.

Damnit Bradley!

It's just weird how he showed no ill effects until after the goal.

Maybe he was headed off the ice before the turnover, but saw the scoring chance and stayed on.

Vanek is a pretty durable guy. He came back from basically having his entire face broken in like 3 weeks last year, so while I'm very upset that he's out I'm not worried that he'll be out very long.

But you dont use your face to get power on a shot. And he had a cage.

That being said I hope it isnt more than 2 weeks.

My recollection is that he wasn't nearly as good when he came back.

I'd like to see Gerbe called up and leave Paille in the PB.
