I beat you both in the GDT (since it was game related). I guess.

This isn't good.

Our defensive depth gets an early test. If it was going to happen, better now than later. There's at least plenty of time to do something about it.

oh no....

It figures that when our season has started off well and everything is going in the right direction we would have a bad injury like this. Get well soon Jan.. your position in the lineup cannot be filled with a player of your presence.

Well on the positive note, this gets Roy back in the lineup. That's the only positive though, this sucks

I just hope Commodore is back Saturday. Who is the next callup from the Crunch, Clitsome?

Tyutin-Klesla
Stralman-Russell
Methot-Roy
\\
it could be worse.

We should be getting Commie back in a week or so? I'm glad Roy is gonna get an extended audition for that 6th spot when we're healthy. I can't tell if it's wishful thinking or truth that I think he's better than Russell already LOL

As good as Hedja is im not that worried about this.

Our depth in that position is so good, we have players that could crack other teams line up in the minors. From the reports it sounds like Commie will only miss about another game or so. Hopefully we dont rush him.

So yea there goes our 4-1 record, its going to be 5-1

Stralman in and Roy has played well. Good thing. Hopefully Commie doesn't miss much more time. Clitsome would stand to be a call-up, I'd guess. Will they call him up as a 7th, or only if - god forbid I won't even say it...

Weird to think that a one-dimensional guy is kinda irreplaceable, but it's true. Doesn't mean the team is sunk or guys behind him aren't capable, but his acumen at his skill set is unique.

I saw him limping after the big pile up at the end and was yelling "where was the quick whistle on that one?!?!" He was favoring it pretty bad at the end there....the 1 guarantee in the NHL, injuries, thats why depth is so important. Now were stuck with our #1 and #2 Dman out. If Commies groin injury is this bad, that thing will nag him for the rest of the season unless they just keep him out for the next 3 weeks to make sure he's 100%, and I dont think thats an option right now.

I guess I'm the blueline contrarian today, but I think Tyutin is our #2 D-man.

Small quibble, they are both important parts.

Doesn't matter.. the guys that eat ice time and don't hurt you are now on the shelf.. lets see what combinations we can put together here.

Stralman and Russell together will probably not happen.. a lot of lookout blocks going on as breakaways stream in on goal. Toots and Klesla will have to eat up some serious ice time.
