NHL on the Fly - Ryan Smyth Interview (airs repeatedly all night on NHL Network)

Nice interview with Ryan in New York - talks about closing in on 1,000 NHL games. DVR it if you can. Airs around 20 minutes in to the show.

How uncomfortable did Ryan look with all those one line questions? The interviewer was about the worst I've seen on the NHL network. How about asking about the King team, its players, the difference between systems or cities?

Geez.

I couldn't believe the random nature of some of those questions.

It was like a bad dating show interview.

Worst interview ever.

"What celebrity do you want to see?"

Nice question.

Nice question.
I saw this last night, and to be fair, Ryan Smyth is a horrible interview. True, bad questions don't typically generate great answers, but three word answers force the interviewer to really reach.

Perhaps if he asked him real hockey questions instead of "Name 5 guys off of your junior team" or "What do you think people underrate about you?".

The entire interview was about Ryan Smyth and his family when it's obvious he would be much more comfortable fielding hockey questions, you know...maybe something about the f'ing team he plays for and how they are playing well?

The interview as terrible and while Smyth might not be the best sound byte, it doesn't change the fact that the questions were terrible.

Ryan Smyth is not Mr. Charsima, but for crisssakes, ask him a question about playing hockey. Jr's goldfish could have asked more intelligent questions. Get him talking about Kopitar and Williams, the difference in the last few teams he's played on. Anything but which celebrity do you want to see. Obviously, the interviewer doesn't understand L.A. geography very well if he thinks Smyth will see lots of Celebs down in the southbay!
