The consensus of the fans here and on other boards is that Turco may need a change of scenery. The Stars may start riding Auld if Turco does not pull his head out of his a** and stop letting in the weakest of goals. He is a UFA after this season and hopefully we could get something for him instead of letting him walk for free.

Offers....

Oh come on now, two games in does not mean he deserves the double-facepalm treatment!

The guy's game has fallen off over the last few years. I don't think his value is that high, and I don't see him getting a monster contract as a UFA.

Should be negative value- he's below average at best these days. Might be able to squeeze something out of him on reputation only though.

I'd say if Turco is even dealt, it will be at the deadline, and the Stars have a very poor season.
And by then we'll see how Emery plays out the season, and how the Caps goalies do.

Turco, Richards for Ovechkin, Backstrom.

Make it happen Neiuwy or you fail as a GM.

I don't think so. They don't have the cap space to take of Turco, even for half a season.

I'd like to grab another puck mover on D, Turco could be the next best thing.

Chicago should be interested if Huet is sucking it up this year.

Exactly why I said that. Plus Niemi and Crawford are getting the Hawks the Cup this year.

True but I think both goalies will get a shot prior to Chicago making a move. Chances are that these goalies do get their chances sooner that later but at this point I just can't see Huet's potential demise as an immediate need for a trade.

Yeah, I see what you're getting at. If Huet really tanks, maybe they need to make a move for a veteran goalie to either backup one of the youngsters or even take over the starter role. Just think Crawford and Niemi should get a chance to start first (of course, it doesn't negate the possibility of a trade like you're suggesting).

It's pretty low right now.

He continues to make some spectacular saves reminiscent of an elite goalie, but so far has continued to let in the soft goals he let in all of last season.

He makes too much money to be worth much in a trade with the way he has played last season and so far this season. I don't see a trade happening anytime soon.
