I realize that ownership is up in the air right now and most people in Phoenix aren't sure if the team will even be there next year. But you would think more people would come out to the game to show who ever becomes owner that there is interest in Phoenix and can support the team.

I concede he has nothing to show for it, but Mueller is making plays tonight.

The Blues are playing such atrocious hockey I'm going to be pissed if we lose this one.

And to whoever was feeling sorry for the players - I feel terrible for the 30 fans who showed up. This game's a mess. Just painful.

BTW, I noticed during the opener we still have a temperature problem at the Job. The ice quality was just awful.

WHOO HOO! GOAL!

I only caught the 3rd and OT, but agree that Mueller was pretty visible tonight! Good news for a guy with an avatar like mine!

Eh, not really. They were lucky to get the win tonight. That was kind of a snoozer.

1st was good, 2nd was lousy, but the third and OT was balls to the wall great!

I doubt tonight was as dire as everyone is making it out to be attendance wise.

Have a look at the attendance figures from Winnipeg the last season (when they knew the team was leaving) before you judge Phoenix. They dropped from 13,000 people to 11,000 people.

It is extremely hard to invest yourself emotionally in a team that had done little to endear you to it and that is going to be potentially leaving. People need a reason to care and this franchise quite frankly hasn't really given it.

See the difference there is that Phoenix can still keep the team. But only if the fan support is great enough for the NHL to take their chances on Phoenix. If there's no fan support the chances of losing the team are much greater. So really it's on the fans to decide if the team is going to stay or not.

...and miss NBC comedy night? Sacrilege!

Blues / Coyotes on a weeknight is probably the worst draw you can possibly get. The infamous Vodka promotion was for a Blues game.

The Bruins, Wings & Kings games over the next 10 days will fare much better.

Probably because all the Bruins, Wings, and Kings fans will show up to watch their team. Where are all the Coyote fans at? Is Glendale really that long of a haul from Phoenix?
