please keep in mind, these line-ups are subject to change and will be updated once they are released by Tarik or Corey.

i have no clue who will start in net for Washington, i'm just assuming that it might be Varly.

My eyes lit up when I saw this game on the schedule, even better at home. Like the last poster my fave team out west is san jose, but the caps need to win this. After last years loss and to make a statement.

I actually think the caps are a better team than in recent years. I remember getting blown out by atlanta early in the season.

4-3 Caps.

I think I read yesterday that Theodore was starting...which is hard to argue after his play against NJ.

Let's hope a Bottlecaps GDT will break us out of a funk.

*The way Gordon has been playing I would rather see Aucoin get a shot regardless of Gordo's back status.

If BB puts aucoin between fehr and clark I expect a goal or at least several good chances.

When we play out there we blame our losses on the dreaded west coast road trip. Let's see if we can make that theory hold in reverse.

Whooaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's not do anything rash people. Sammy isn't the problem my friend(s)! Who said this? -->"Well, I'm a mushroom-cloud-layin' m*th**********r, m*th**********r! Every time my fingers touch brain, I'm Superfly T.N.T., I'm the Guns of the Navarone!"

The coolest m*th**********r on the planet that's who. And you guys are prepared to ditch him after one game? My opinion obviously doesn't carry the most weight on this board, but I disagree vehemently with abandoning SammyL.

5-3 Caps BTW.

I have absolutely no feeling one way or the other for this game. Hopefully this dull and rainy day will lull the SJSs into now coming out full steam so the caps can get a jump on them.

Man that capitals schedule has been against some good teams so far in hindsight.

Bad luck to bail on SammyL and a little knee-jerkish reacion so early in the season. Feel the rage .

Theo has out played Varly hands down!
I think the one really bad goal he let in recently was on the shoot out were he basically let it go in. I think Varly should play against the predators, or the Islanders to redeem himself, not one of the best teams in the league.

On a different note, LETS GO CAPS!!!!

I agree with what some one said before that caps need to win this one to really send a msg and that they aren't gonna allow this loosing streak to get the best of them.

I heard that Morrison is going to be centering Ovechkin? Weak.

Fing Dainus Zubrus can center Ovechkin and it doesn't make a lick of difference.

The key is getting Backstrom to kickstart some offense from line 2.
