Who will lead in points this year?

Who will lead in points this year for the capitals? Ovechkin is doing good, but at the same time Backstrom and Semin is also doing a great job.

I'm expecting a late surge from Bradley to nip them all at the wire...

Really you felt the need to ask this question?

Finley will get called up as a forward and storm into the scoring lead.

It's possible that Nicky could hold the lead. Doubtful with ovi's strong start, but not out of the realm of possibility. 80 assists and 20 goals.

someone needs to do an informal survey of how many of the 2003-2007 caps are still in the nhl (or even still playing professional hockey). i bet it's comical.

I'm going to do a list of guys that played in that game we won after the deadline in 03-04 against the Pens with Yeates in goal.

Forwards out of the NHL:
Bates Battaglia, Kip Miller, Matt Pettinger, Roman Tvrdon, Craig Johnson, Stephen Peat, Darcy Verot, Trent Whitfield.

Still in the NHL:
Jeff Halpern, Alexander Semin.

The Caps apparently only dressed 10 forwards for that game. Zubrus, and Willsie were scratches.

Defensemen out of the NHL:
Rick Berry, Josef Boumedienne, Jakub Cutta, Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre, Joel Kwiatkowski, Brad Norton, Todd Rolhoff.

Defensemen still in the NHL:
Brendan Witt

Goaltenders that day were Kolzig on the Bench and Yeates in goal.

Only 3 players that day are still in the league.
