Wait? You mean the Flyers are actually going to use the Phantoms to develop prospects?

I don't know if he has officially signed a contract, but he has agreed to terms. I have been in contact with his family, and this has been confirmed to me.

They have been doing a better job of it lately. Niittymaki, Sharp, Jones, Meyer, Vandermeer etc.

I don't get it, blah. Use the Phantoms as opposed to what? They can't use the AHL to develop North American players under 20 and they obviously feel Europeans are best left to hone their games in Europe.

Edit: Plus, they don't get a lot of players who play in college.

I think he was being sarcastic. Phantoms teams of the recent past have been loaded with veterans instead of actual prospects who had an NHL future.

I've often been compared to a brick wall, so you could be right, FG. If so, just ignore me, blah.
