Well.. Could have been WAYYY worse.. If thats the case, then you Canes fan can breathe a sign of relief. And as for me, im glad to hear that as well since I have him on my fantasy team. Plus I really like the Canes, my 2nd team after Colorado.
i think we will see what we saw at practice today, Walker slid up and Conboy onto the 4th line.....at least until they decide that isnt going to work(i put the over/under at 2 weeks). Mo is only playing that 4th line 6-8 minutes a game anyways.
This will make things a bit interesting. It would seem easy to bring up Sutter or Boychuk. I'm not sure that's the best option for their sake, but likely the best/easiest option for the teams sake at this current time. Our plan was to have Sutter, Boychuk, Bowman & McBain in Albany for the season, or most of it. And I think that is the best way to go. With that said, it may be our only option to recall one of the kids. Atleast it's only 4-6 weeks and not 4-6 months. The game has become much more of a 'kids game' than in years prior, so adding a young kid who's got everything to prove (Sutter/Boychuk) could be a big help, in all honesty. We'll see. Through 2 games it looks like these vets could use a push and a little 'look over the shoulder' motivation from a young talent.
I am not in a medical field so i have no idea if it makes any difference between broken versus fractured bone. One thing for sure is that 4-6 weeks out is a common denominator.
Yes, makes a significant difference. A typical fracture heals much faster then outright breaks as the bone tends to stay in position but a portion is cracked significantly enough to require time off to repair. A break often times involves a complete break of the bone itself and not only requires it to be set in place, it can also require screws, etc to hold it in place which often times don't heal properly.
Bruin's fan here. I was at the Sat . game. It was a wild one.
I hope Cole is back soon. It was a clean hit but hated to see him injured.
You have 4 players from the B's. We loved Aaron Ward here. Also Yelle did a good job for us last season. I always thought Alby was a nice kid. He should not fight. Sammy has been gone awhile but he was a favorite when he was on the B's.
I am happy Cole's injury wasn't as bad as it could have been.
