So how does the waiver wire work right now? Are we far enough into the season where the order goes by current worst team to best?
November 1st is the cutoff. Right now, waiver order is determined by last years standings. After November 1st, order is determined by winning percentage.
Really doubt he clears. He'll be in another sweater soon enough. The kid has a lot of upside and couldn't hold a spot on a center-enriched Ducks team. Someone that finished lower in the stnadings last year should get him. Maybe Colorado, Toronto, or even Phoenix. If he falls to Buffalo, I wouldn't be opposed to giving him a chance to secure a spot in our lineup. Then someone will finally be wearing #48 again here.

He was given the 2nd line center spot last year and played his way out of it, and what exactly do you mean by a lot of upside? Since when?
With our current injury situation, Vancouver will likely put in a claim on Ebbett should he fall far enough. He likely won't fall that far, but here's hoping.
