Trademark of a winning team right there.
Technically aren't we the ones who are "down"?

No Hemsky, Souray, or Staois tonight. As much as it pains me to excuse Horcoff, he was very obviously playing with a leg injury too.

Hang on?

It was a little hairy there for a bit when the Oilers fell asleep in the 2nd, but Khabi was solid and our interesting combination of skill and grit produced some nice goals in the 3rd.

How about that Penner? Fantastic.

And what's up with Boogaard? What a piece of **** he is. He intentionally tried to injure our players multiple times... especially with that knee on knee on Vish. He deserves a suspension for that given his track record. How can his teammates accept such reckless behaviour?

The Czech version of Jason Smith imo.

You should change the thread title to "Penner gets an A"

Penner and Brule with great games. Smid looked fantastic tonight, if he spends all next summer working on his shot with Souray, he could be a force.

Great game Oil, we need to beat the teams we aare supposed to beat this year. We did so tonight. Next up the Nucks on monday.

Dustin Penner SUPERSTAR! Finally getting to see the guy that I anticipated us getting when we signed him.

He has the flu, so he missed tonights game. They also said Horcoff is playing with an injury...an ankle injury. That could explain his play.

I'm really liking the finish out of this bunch, they're not getting a boatload of shots but what they are getting they are making count in a big way, high quality chances.

In other news, the Flames were trying to blow another 5-0 lead.

5-3 final.

Great game, hope Sully is OK

Boogard hadn't had a shift in ages. Then he goes out and knees the most skilled player who is dressed? Total bush league. He should get suspended and the coach should be fined.

The only thing that will come of this is Quinn will get fined for his comments after the game.

Good result. Scary to think how this team would look if our top end guys ever played to their potential. Penner, Cogliano and Smid for Heatley? hmmm... tempting, but I'll pass.

Smid is playing so solid right now

Brule looks like the the kid that got drafted 6th overall. Keep it simple let the big guys crash the net and clean up the garbage.

Penner ya. Man, picks up the puck deep starts cruising up the ice and drives the net. That was just such a power move.

Just think Penner and Smid were going to be traded with Cogliano for Heatley

He's been very good, my only gripe with him is that he needs to be a little better with his passes sometimes. Other than that, IMO he's looking like a 6th overall pick Added him to my keeper league today as well as I need someone to bail me out if Horc keeps crapping the bed offensively

I liked the idea at the time, and now, not a chance in hell I would do it.

From what I saw I thought the Wild outplayed the Oilers. No big deal we won and get to build on it

I feel like Smid was on the ice all the time. He was great tonight. He has a tendency to get rocked by big hits though. Thats a little disconcerting.

Sully was on the PP right after that bush league knee by Boogaard.

I want vigilante justice! Someone hit Boogaard over the head with a hockey stick or something!
