Crap I can't believe I missed this game. Was it as good as the score makes it look?

The only thing that will come of this is Quinn will get fined for his comments after the game.
That knee should get him a game. What a piece of crap Bully, O'Sullivan mans up to him and makes him look like the big worthless piece of shat he is and he HAS to get the last lick in. How do you spell Boogard? P-u-s-s-y

At least he didn't make any spelling mistake...

The score is what now?

JTS/Brule 4G - BBO/Schremp 1SOG?

Good game by the Oilers. Glad to have Khabbi on this team.

Sully was our best player tonight, but I love what I'm seeing from Smid + Penner these days.

Our Crust line is getting the results, but I suspect it's temporary.

Not so good games from Gilbert and Strudwick.

But all the players who spent time under MacT are struggling. Hemsky, Horcoff, Moreau, Pisani, Staios. Maybe if you spend too much time in one coaching system, if it can inhibit your ability to adapt to a new system.

Edit: But yeah I agree. This team is fun to watch again.

No Hemsky, Souray, or Staois tonight. As much as it pains me to excuse Horcoff, he was very obviously playing with a leg injury too.
Good point...I just meant with the Wild slumping AND having injuries, but I guess the argument is valid that the Oil were down too

Regardless, time to pop another Molson and drink in a victory.

Struds played less then 14 minutes, less than every other blueliner. Glad Quinn recognized!

I don't know about that. They just trapped and trapped and through pucks at the night. They really didn't have great chances and I didn't see them really generate what I would call clear cut chances

I was pretty close! Only the single assist off.

Jacques looked great out there. Keep him on a line like that and have Horcoff and Hemsky play with some skill. Hopefully they'll get it going too.

Penner is unreal right now. 9 points in 7 games.... it took him 22 games to hit 9 points last year.

You know i thought it was a well played game effort was there (which has been great so far).

Really liking Brule. Hopefully Khabi is starting to silence some doubters.

Kind of a weird game. We got hemmed in our zone for quite some time and didn't spend a whole lot of time in theirs. When were in their zone we created lots of chances though. Hit 2 posts as well.

Obviously Penner and Brule deserve all the credit they are getting but I want to talk about O'Sullivan for a second. This guy does everything. He is really good on the PK, aggressive on the forcheck, gritty and has some good skill to boot. He's the type of player who never takes over a game but over the course of an 82 game schedule, I want him on my side.

Not bad for a guy that almost everyone wanted traded, a guy almost no one wanted signed, and 2 career AHLers according to most. Minus the Comrie part I'd be serving up a ton of crow if it wasn't for "the one that got away".

I like the salute, but the huddle and jump last season was hilarious!

28 GA 21 GA, imagine how much better the Oilers will be when they don't get terribly outshot? I know Nashville and Minny are plain horrible but if this was from the last three years they would get beat by them.

I could die right now. I'm just...happy. I've never felt that way before. I'm just exactly where I want to be!

I know it's only the 7th game and there are going to be losing streaks when we're all hollering for the coaches head and stuff, but me -> They seem to be burying their quality chances which is a more than welcome change!

No it wasn't, the Oilers did score legimate beauty goals but their defense was shoddy to say the least, i thought Khabi saved their bacon on multiple occasions

Thats good, it was a real dirty play and blatant attempt to injure. Boogard fails.

I agree, while Minny had lots of shots they had very few good chances, less than the Oilers thats for sure.

THIS Dustin Penner is earning his $4.25 M. Seems like a completely different player. Kudos to him!

Great game for Brule, Jacques, Stone as well offensively.

Nice to beat the Wild in regulation after we have had trouble with them the last few years.

4-2-1 with two home game left vs Vancouver and Columbus in the upcoming week. Keep it going boys!

anyone else feel hemsky and horcoff are slowly getting pushed aside for the new kids that are giving the effort? Looks that way. (it's how it should be)

I thought a large factor in tonight's game was faceoff wins.

Leading the parade with 7 W and 4 L for 64 percent was none other than #13

Does Brule finally look like the guy that was ranked #5 by hockeysfuture 2 or 3 some-odd years ago? Hopefully he has emerged.
