No surprise there since TV4 nowadays own Canal+, great to finally get some playoff hockey in HD.

Oh no. I like Fotbollskanalen and they got Jesper Hussfelt who is a good commentator IMO but everything else TV 4 do turn out to be ****.

what does part of the rights mean? will some rights still stay with kanal 5/9? the free streams have to stay!

Nope, there wont be any more free legal streams. But this is a good thing, TV4 means more exposure to the general public then Kanal 9, and having extensive hockey coverage on the two major networks.

good for whom? not for me or any other swedish hockey fan outside of sweden.

Don't like it. The way C+/femman set it up this season was pretty darn good. TV4 can't do sport.. at all.

Tv4 sucks and they always ruin sports. Is Tv4 that much bigger than Kanal5 these days anyway? I'm not so sure they are guaranteed to grow in audience by huge numbers.

Svt Hockey (HD) would be a great alternative!

Indeed, TV4 is an abomination. Their philosophy seems to revolve around catering to the lowest common denominator in between commercials.

I would think that they use the canal+ people for that production. They are after all both part of TV4 gruppen.

I agree with everything you guys said about TV4 though, Perlskog and the rest of the morons are almost as horrible as the people at ViaSat.

TV4 HD is the one channel I don't have, but I have ended my C+ subscription anyways so it's all csports from now on. I really like C+ but they gave me no choice with giving up first NHL and now Premier League. TV4 sucks badly but it's no different to me than K5 so it's okay. Even if C+ are doing better productions than Viasat I hope the latter gets Elitserien eventually so we once and for all have all the hockey with the same provider.
