Good 1st period. Momentum started with the Leafs, but the Sens stepped it up after the Leafs goal.

NOW Leafs brought their game. Wish they had been playing as hard after their goal. Not to take anything away from the Sens - they're clearly playing hard - but the Leafs earned their goal and then some. Let's home they keep up the early first period play in the second.

Antropov seems WAY off tonight, blowing two needed passes.

Oh, and what was with Chara taking the fall after the last penalty in the first? What a wuss.

I'm surprised Grapes didn't give him the what for, he hates that stuff. Guess he just had too much to say tonight.

Alfredsson being an idiot + Chara being an idiot = free Toronto goal

Greg deVries is awful. How is this guy any better than Karel Rachunek? What a bad trade.

Chara is hurting his team out there.

Yeah, I'd agree. Mind you, all he did for the Sens on Thursday was stick to Sundin like glue, which I personally thought was kinda slimy.

A convincing victory for Belfour and the Leafs.

The Senators challenged Toronto in the first game, and clearly that challenge has been met and returned.

The Leafs' veteran character and resiliency shone through.

The Leafs won 2-0, but the Sens stuck right with them. Very even game and the Sens are showing they can toss out the hits and take them too.

Good game... now the Leafs need 1 win in Ottawa to give us that home ice advantage.

Impressive bounceback win by Belfour and Toronto. "Impressive" not to be confused with "dominating," but rarely are you going to find such games in the playoffs.

This one has the feel of yet another 7-gamer.

Should run a disclaimer before the broadcast of each game: "The following program may not be suitable for young children..."

If you like your hockey served up spicy (I certainly do), this is your series. Come to think of it, aren't the Leafs seemingly always in the middle of the most dynamic playoff series?

If Tucker's face looks like it does on April 10th, heaven knows what he'll look like if the Leafs make it to June.

There but for the grace of God did Varada miss his freight-train bodycheck on Sundin. That would not have been pretty.

Very proud of Mats for standing up for himself after a knee on knee.

Never mind June, what's Tucker face going to look like at the end of next game? First game back, not a shift off but that's why Tucker's great.

I'm still saying Leafs in 6 as that's what I predicted before the series started.

I just have to say that Tie Domi is the most annoying, $^%&$#&# player in the NHL. There. I feel much better now

Awwwwwwwwww c'mon he isn't that bad! That's what he gets payed for! He was one of the Leafs most energetic fowards tonight, despite playing with a hand injury.

Knee on knee? Sundin avoided it and Varada didn't stick out his leg.

simply in terms of what happened was varada hit mats on the legs, whether or not he meant to or not ( i don't think he did )... but it still could have been ugly, and varada did hit his legs...

i wish someone would have gone after him.. this game was good, but it still wasn't as good as the jersey/philly.. those last five minutes in the second was some of the best hockey i've ever seen in my life, and makes me miss the old days (i'm only 20 ) but i mean old playoff hockey, no calls, just mad scrumming... we need more of that, the fans were insane, booing one second, cheering, back to booing, back and forth, chanting...

*drools*, what i wouldn't give to have been in that building tonight

One thing that surprised me this game was Pat Quinn's reaction to the Sundin Chara fiasco. Although Chara was on teh ice with Sundin a lot tonight, Quinn did a must better job tonight of making sure Sundin was left free. For instance starting the second line over the first.

No nothing wrong with the hit/attemt if Sundin try's to avoid the hit and gets his knee's caught his fault btw i thought Varada wore a visor.
