Would be interested in Sheppard and Brunette for the habs, but I'm not sure what their worth is to be honest.

I can just see it now...Burns gets traded to Calgary.

Regehr
Bouwmeester
Phaneuf
Burns

That would be an awesome top 4 defense for the Flames.

But with Shero's connections with Fletcher, let's hope the Pens can beat him to it. 1st+Eaton+Caputi? not enough? too much?

Gonchar-Orpik
Burns-Letang
McKee-GoGo
Skoula

Any of these look good?
Grabovski for Sheppard, Brodziak
Stajan for Brunette & pic
Hagman for Belanger, Pouliot

I think Staal belongs in any deal that involves Brent Burns. Not much else along with him, but I think it would make sense for the Wild.

If the Wild are rebuilding, they aren't going to trade their youth. It's that simple.

Lately, Pouliot is actually starting to look like the player we drafted him to be. And now we want to trade him for scrap?

Sheppard, while clearly rushed into the NHL, is still promising.

I agree that Nolan, Belanger, Miettinen, Brunette, and other vets are up for sale.

Tampa needs a top six wing (preferablly RW)

Brunette or Nolan could fill that role. TB's got Krajicek and Hale available, and on the pace TB's going, they're going to have some pretty high picks.

What's it going to take to trade for one of them?

maybe the leafs and wild could pull off a multi player deal that would give players on both teams a change of scenery!!!!

Rangers would probably be interested in Kim Jonsson or Nick Schultz

The Oilers could use Clutterbuck - I know he is injured, what is the injury? I would like to see him as an Oiler because I hate him (in a respectful sort of way) when the Oilers play the Wild. He would do well under Quinn and the now crustier Oilers.

What would you want from the Rangers for Brunette?

I'd give you a 7th for Belanger just so I could force him to play for Carolina again on what's an even worse team now.

IMO untouchables are Koivu, Burns, Havlat, Backstrom, Clutterbuck. Anyone else is fair game. Havlat/Backstrom have NTC, Koivu isn't going anywhere, and it would take an overpayment to get Burns or Clutterbuck (he's our Milan Lucic). I also doubt Zanon gets moved.

Prospects Gillies, Cuma, Leddy are untouchable as well as they are recent 1st rounders, no sense in moving them in a rebuild.

That leaves:

Bouchard (injured)
Nolan
Belanger
Sheppard
Pouliot
Miettinen (overpaid)
Hilbert
Boogaard

Johnsson
Schultz
Zidlicky
Hnidy
Scott

Harding

You want to trade a recent 1st rounder in Caron, Lehtonen who has 2nd line potential, and a 2nd rounder in a strong draft for 3 enforcers? Boogard can't play hockey he sucks. And Kassian isn't the Kassian you may be thinking of. He's a career AHLer. And Scott is nothing special.

That is one of the worst trade proposals I have ever seen.

Clutterbuck is 5'10, and 200lbs....yea I could see how he would get confused with Lucic. Kind of like how everyone confuses JF Jacques with Cam Neely

Harding to Chicago, and Nolan to Pitts/SJ

David Clarkson is probably a better comparison.

I think Nolan would be great for the Sharks. Not sure how many years he has left in him though.

Clowe for Nolan + 2nd

The Avs want Brunette back. What it it going to take.

(That was one of their worst mistakes letting him walk, and they need him more then ever now)

If there is indeed a firesale, there has to be teams interested in Backstrom even with his price tag.

It wouldn't make any sense for Minnesota to trade away a second rounder if they are rebuilding.
