Time for some to ride the bus

Ok enough is enough....It`s time for some of the new young players to ride the bus in the AHL and give some others a chance to prove themselves.Guys who are hungry to show that they belong..Guys like Maxwell etc who made it to the final cut.I don`t care how young guys are, because most other teams nowdays have 18 yr olds not only playing but playing well.Guys who should ride the bus IMO are Chipchura,D`Agostini and Pacioretty.come on guys the holiday is over.no desire means AHL time and bring in some hungry players.....what other players belong up in Montreal ?

Here's a list of rookies that are tearing the league up just to support the first since he probably forgot to post it. Just trying to help out.

I haven't seen the Bulldogs yet this year, so I don't know who is playing well there. From training camp, I think all the correct choices were made. The Habs kept the right players, the ones who deserved to make the team.

I think Chipchura, Pacioretty, and D'Agostini are all hungry and deserve to be in the NHL. Pacioretty probably would benefit from AHL time, but I don't think he'll be hurt without it, and we probably don't have anybody better than him. But Chipchura is solid and D'Agostini IMHO has been working hard, but just hasn't found the right niche in the lineup yet. It doesn't mean he should be sent down.

End of the day, these are all players on the fringe of our roster, and should not have any positive or negative effect on the team's fortunes. They are doing ok, and we don't have anybody better. No need to overreact about them.

Chip will be traded before sent to the minors as we would lose him on the waiver wire for sure as he is a western boy and a Sutter(s) type player and the Oilers would jump at him as well.

D'Ago, I would not be opposed to trading him. He simply doesn't do enough out there if he isn't contributing on the score sheet, and if he can't be a part of the top 2 lines he is of no use in Montreal in a checking role.

That's the problem though. Chipchura shouldn't have a negative impact but he does. He plays like 6 minutes a night and seems to be on the ice for every goal. He has not been solid, in fact he has been terrible. I almost read your post like it's sarcastic because I'm not sure what you've been watching.

Exactly. It's pathetic how some guys in here do all they can to defend Chipchura and Pacioretty, who both have been absolutely terrible (and it's an understatement), and on the first occasion, they bash Latendresse and Lapierre, who didn't do exactly well so far, but were not the liabilities the other 2 were.

That would require us to actually draft quality/impact players. Just for reference, O'Reilly was a 2nd rounder in the draft that just happened 3-4 months ago. What's our 1st rounder from that draft doing? Writing midterms at Harvard. What's our 2nd rounder doing? Nothing, it's Atlanta's property after we shelled it out to rent Schneider to fix our abysmal PP last year.

It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why our prospects don't amount to much once they get to the bigs, and it's about time for everyone to stop drinking the Timmins Kool-aid and make our perennial failures easier on ourselves.

Geez, why did they include Zack Stortini on the rookie list? 154 games played.

People on here only (quebecers) bash Laps and Lats because they have been terrible so far this year some of you guys actually look at Lap & Lats as Malkin and Crosby they are no different in thier play then Chip Dags or Pac has been.

Our third line has been garbage. The 4th line is supposed to be a wash over the course of the season.

You can't run on 2 lines. That third line isn't bringing offense, defense or energy.

I`m just saying that there must be 3 players in Hamilton who could fill the roster spots of Dag`s,pac and chip....I just don`t see why they are still with us.......we have way too many players (2nd and 3rd lines) doing very little. With the exception of pleck`s as i feel he is working hard so the puck has to start going in for him sooner or later.our 4th line was the best line during the last half of the game sat nite but they didn`t get the ice time they deserved.

Come on! He's been beyond pathetic.

The guy is supposed to be a defensive specialist yet has horrible hockey sense in the defensive zone, isn't strong on the puck, doesn't contribute anything offensively, etc.

The third line is missing Kostopoulos.

In all honesty, Laps and Lats should be ahead of the other guys development wise. Chipchura has never established himself as a regular NHL'er, and at one point if he can't do it, there is no reasons to bash him and as far as MaxPac, well again, I wouldn't bash the guy more than the ones who decided to rush his development 'cause they needed that big body they weren't able to get for quite a long time.

Though it can also be said that Lats was rushed, and he was, it's about time that he takes matter in his own hands and start playing better. Same for Laps who went from questionable hockey sense, to one of the best improved player in that department to...back where he once was. Both Lats and Laps are NHL material while it's still unknown as far as Chip is concerned and once it's already known that MaxPac isn't.

Let them all stay, in fact call up Shawn Belle and P.K. Subban too. Might as well let these guys learn at this level since the whole team is trying to find its collective mojo.

Well to do that Lats would need 2nd line minutes and PP time.

I'm sure we're watching different players in different games. It's not uncommon. I have noticed the phenomenon numerous times before. Chipchura doesn't have a negative effect and he has been a solid player. He's not a defensive player, he's just part of a spare-parts line at the moment. Which is fair enough, since he's a rookie breaking into the league. But he looks impressive in his spare parts role, and I believe he will evolve into an effective 2-way player for us in the future.

I don't believe I've ever bashed Lapierre or Latendresse, for the record. Well, maybe Latendresse when he was on Team Canada, not as a Hab. Although I would like to hope that there is a completely different set of expectations for Lapierre and Latendresse than there is for Chipchura and Pacioretty. If there isn't, then maybe that's your problem right there.

Yeah no offense to Blind, but I totally agree with Tuggy, I can't believe you're trying to say nobody is more deserving then Pacioretty. How about S. Kostitsyn, the brat who has top 6 talent and was sent down for no apparent reason. He has a big surgery, comes back, doesn't do the best, gets *****ed at by JM, comes back the next game, scores a goal, but that doesn't merit giving him a shot?

Sorry but what exactly has Pacioretty done to merit a spot on the team? Skate up and down the ice for 15 mins a game? What has D'Agostini done, had a streak last season? And don't make me laugh regarding Chipchura, he's been terrible and I've been calling him a bust since day 1. Don't doubt he could rebound elsewhere possibly but for what we drafted him for, he's been a total bust. I don't see how people still defend this kid, sorry my bad, grown man. The guy is turning 24 in February for crying out loud, you guys don't call a guy turning 24 in February who has yet to impress at the NHL level a bust? Come on. I'll eat my words if in 5 years I'm wrong, cause it'll likely take another 5 years for the kid to crack any teams line up other then that of the Isles or another team littered with AHLers.

I think he's done one thing that impressed me, he made a nice pass. Aside from that, he's made some very big mistakes, costly mistakes and is a -6 after 5 games. That means on average we get 1 goal a night minimum while he's on the ice. For a defensive forward even just cracking the NHL on a spare parts line, that's laughable. Especially since -3 of that -6 = his fault.

That's a two way street there, I'd get off the high horse. While I have a hard time grasping the public perception of Chipchura, Latendresse has been caught flat footed in the neutral zone, and Lapierre has been less than stellar but I've defended them as well.

I have faith in all our young players but apparently that faith should be thrown away to fit in with the HF mold.

Your lack of enthusiasm for our own players is what is truly pathetic.
