I remember...

... people saying that we don't have first line.

... people saying that Kopitar is not a top line center.

... people saying that Williams will be more injured than on ice.

... people saying that Smyth is old and he is going to be second line winger for Kings in 09/10

... people saying that Kopitar doesn't have a soul or enough talent to be a real #1 center.

... people saying that offense is not a problem - we let too many goals in.

... people saying that the missing top line must be acquired via trade as Kings organization does not have potential for it in the same sentence when they announced that Williams and Smyth can not be top line players.

I see...

... that Kopitar is doing just fine for a playoff team.

... that Smyth is playing on a top line and doing just fine.

... that Williams is playing on a top line and doing just fine. (please acknowledge that it rhymes, thanks)

... that our top line is second best line in the league at the moment:
1. Washington: 17/37
2. Kings: 14/35
3. San Jose: 15/31
4. Rangers: 12/31
5. Tampa: 13/25

... that our top line outscores some of the team totals

... that Kings are being recognized as defense first team and still being in upper half of the goals/game chart.

I acknowledge that 'fine' rhymes with 'fine'.

No.

I take it back.

To not remember details is sometimes a blessing.

I see trees of green........ red roses too
I see em bloom..... for me and for you
And I think to myself.... what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue..... clouds of white
Bright blessed days....dark sacred nights
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world

The Kings were a "defense first" team last season - this season they are in the bottom third in goals allowed/game, 28th in PK%, 29th in Faceoff%, etc.

BUT....

It's only been 9 games. That's a very small sample size to draw ANY conclusions from - positive or negative...

So if Williams plays 10 games it's going to be okay?

I hardly find it sane to come here and basically say "I told you so" when you actually didn't tell us so.

Here comes another problem
All wrapped up in solution
It's ugly as it's strapped on
And twice as hard to get behind
Another sieve-fisted find

I think this one has gone it's course rather quickly... Thanks for the Zadonian touch Sane Voice, but it is a little early before you start slaying naysayers with rhetoric such as playoffs, defense first, and, heaven grant us, injury free seasons...
