Anybody who's not a Leafs' fan could see the failboat coming miles away. They probably have the most static D corps in the league while most of their forwards are fast, but small and not incredibly skilled. You're gonna have a big problem with the transition game there. Trading Kubina and Stralman was a huge mistake on Burke's part.

That team make-up sounds awfully similar to Montreal. White and Kaberle are comparable skaters to Gorges and Markov (maybe better than the latter two, in fact), while Komisarek, Exelby, Finger and Beauchemin are comparable to Gill, Mara, Hamrlik & Spacek.

The latter two at least compensate with smart positioning, but still: I don't think Montreal's in any position to make fun of Toronto's lack of mobility.

However, if this team isn't in a position to make a run at the playoffs after the all star break I doubt Gainey would go out to trade for a rental(not saying Frolov is un re-signable).

Frolov is a better player than Andrei Kostitsyn, right now, and most probably into the future as well. He just brings more intangibles to the table, is a better all around player, is a more mature player, has a better work ethic, and is more consistant. Now don't get me wrong, Andrei Kostitsyn could become a better player, he posseses more raw talent in his offensive game then Frolov does. However, if you asked me who I would rather have on my team, regardless of contract situation, its Frolov.
Frolov's intangibles and maturity are so much better that it got him benched and publicly chastised by his coach.

I wasn't making fun of the lack of mobility, just merely pointing it out. What I can tell you though, is that 10 times out of 10, I will take Mara, Hamrlik and Spacek before Exelby, Finger and Beauchemin. Komisarek is better than Gill, but for the money he makes and the level he's been playing, not by much.

The difference is, our forwards support our defence way better than Toronto's forwards do.

Wilson: The season opening loss to the Canadiens "seemed to really shake us down to the core."

They can't rebound from one OT loss? Wooo, they're mentally tough.

Ribeiro (9 pts) and Begin (5 pts) are doing pretty well right now.

Michalek just scored and the Sens have Vertigo playing.

We always knew they wanted to be more like the Habs but it's getting a little pathetic.

Preds can't seem to win anything. They blew a 3-0 in the third and might not even get a point out of it.

EDIT: Oh noes I guess I spoke too soon. Weber makes it 4-3.

Yeah the channels are unlocked until the end of the month I think. You'll have to pay if you want to keep it after that.
