I disagree; the team that gets the most goals tonight will win this game.

We don't make defense pay. I'm much more worried running into a hot goalie. Ottawa had a horrid defense but Leclaire was solid. We need to face the Islanders pronto.

If NYi put Biron in we'll probably make him look like a superstar.

Too true. Biron sucks against everyone except us.

We should trade for him and only play him at home. He seems to like the Montreal crowd.

I'd like to see this: I know it's early, but Pleks has looked dangerous out there..

Cammalleri-Plekanec-Gionta
Pacioretty-Gomez-A.Kostitsyn
Latendresse-Lapierre-Moen
Dags-Chipchura-Laraque

Hamrlik-Spacek
Gill-Gorges
Bergeron-Mara

Jaroslav Halak
Carey Price

Yep, good one there bud, put our 7 million $ first line center on the second line.
I heard Carbo was looking for assistants for the Montreal-Quebec series. Maybe you could send your CV.

Mara -5

Gill -4

Chipchura -6

Laraque -4

Our 4 worse by far.

Atlanta has speed. Kovalchuck will get 2 goals tonight. Thrashers 5-2.
Mara has been great this year. Goes to show you that +/- doesn't always work correctly. He's not a #1 by any means, but he's played solid bottom-3 defense so far and is arguably our most consistent defenseman after Josh Gorges.

The fact that our D are all in the - is pretty simple. We have an average of 1.8 goals scored for per game.

You mean our 7 million $ second line center on the second line, where he would belong on 80% of NHL teams if it wasn't for his ridiculous salary? Yeah, that second line center.

Watched a couple of Thrashers games this year and I'm really impressed with Pavelec, kid can really move in his net it's freakin unreal.

I say the Thrashers take this one in overtime 4-3

Thrashers will win this 7 - 1. Martin will be pissed off and there will be another punishing skating practice. Hal Gill will be pissed off about the skating practice and ask for a trade.

Lose/Win situation

Very nice GDT! Best of luck to all of you on this season. Allez, les Habitants!

A Thrashers lineup correction for you. Salmela is a healthy scratch tonight. The Thrashers 3rd Defense pairing is Schubert-Popovic.

To answer a question about who Atlanta's tough guy is, Boulton does most of the fighting. Thorburn has been known to throw down a time or two, and Zach Bogosian took on Donald Brashear in his first NHL game/Fight. Get Kovy riled up enough, and he'll drop the gloves, ala Iginla.

Here's to a good game, and some fun meetings this year.

My lineup for today's game would be shaken up a bit:

Cammalleri - Gomez - Gionta
Latendresse - Plekanec - Kostitsyn
Pacioretty - Metropolit - Moen
Stewart - Lapierre - Laraque

Two offensive line
Two checking line

To be fair he's playing with Latendresse, who seems to have lost all of the hockey skills he ever had, and a rotating cast of D'Agostini/Moen/Pacioretty. And it's not like he's playing poorly either.

Ok il just say it. We have to win tonight. Not because we are good. Not because we are pissed.

Simple math, we have to win sometimes. Random luck HAS to help us.

Go habs go!
