Damnit... Gotta hand it to them on that one though. Amazing redirection.

Edit: That didn't look high to me. It's a legit goal.

so, how many more games before rumors start that the team tuned off Chairman Mo.

meh, I'd rather have Seguin. He's outscoring Hall with one fewer game played and Hall is on a MUCH better team. Imagine what Seguin would be doing with Landeskog or if they could convince Tatar to come over?

In the media/blogs or here? Because I already firmly believe it with how they have come out there. This is just unacceptable effort.

Don't hold your breath. It is going be really hard to outsuck Florida or Toronto this season.

Never thought I would be saying this this season, but I miss last year's Defense.

So why do we want to keep Corvo again? I mean, yeah, he's really the only offensive threat from the blueline at the moment, but he's had the worst accuracy lately.

Seguin, Hall, Fowler... i will be happy with every of them honestly. The young kids is real deal - see Tavares, Hedman, Del Zotto, Anisimov, Myers, Gagner, Duchene and so many other.

But i don't think this team has a chance for Seguin or Hall or Fowler. Islanders, Panthers and Coyotes are going to be worse than us. Maybe Ligntning, Canadiens, Avalanche and Maple Leafs. It's too early though.

I think I just vomited thinking about the Bruins getting the #1 overall pick for trading Phil Kessel. God why didn't he end up in Nashville.

Sadly you're right on that. Although I'm willing to bet that the Bolts, Avs and Habs finish with more points then us if we keep playing like we have so far this season. And I mean rather easily. Yotes too possibly. Just have to hope that we keep this up if we're going to play this terribly. The Wild are frigin terrible though, so put them in Phoenix's spot.

Because without having Babchuck around, he's not a luxury anymore. accurate or not, we need that shot.

Corvo will ask 3.5-4 mil next year. But don't you worry, Babchuk will be back for 1.5. This is all part of JR mastermind planning.

I'd actually take that rather then overpaying for Corvo.

I just hope McBain can get his game figured out. We're going to need a 3rd defenseman that can work the point on the PP next season. Although we could do that with Rodney too. Carson should be ready. Either way, we have 3 spots to fill on the defense next year, I could easily live with Babchuk, Carson and Rodney or McBain being those 3.

Not really. If his shot has about the same accuracy as Gleason's, but he's much worse defensively than Gleason, then why not just get another defensive defenseman.

We could try the opposite of our previous Lavi mentality, and hope to let in less than we score.

If he feels that he can get Babchuck back, then I can see that happening. However, I'm not sure it'll happen.

And I think prices are going to drop a little this next offseason. The cap very well may go down with the economy being what it is, last year wasn't affected so much becuase most revenue was already in when the economy tanked.

But if we want to stay competitive, we need at least one of them or we need to bring up a prospect and have them succeed. We have a few that could work, but that's nowhere near a sure bet.

Don't worry. JR will give Aaron new contract and he will run the PP.

I forgot Nashville and Wild. They're much worse than Canes.

Babchuk's not coming back. In case you hadn't noticed, JR and Babs didn't exactly leave on great terms. Even if JR offered him another contract, I doubt Babchuk would take it. That bridge is not only burned, its ashes are buried and a large cement foundation has been placed over it.

Oh well, over to Comedy Central since Scrubs is on and there's a new South Park tonight. Although our team should be able to sign a contract to play on that station with no problems.

We tried that. Remember 2007? Powerplays are rather ineffective without a puck moving D with a big shot.

Mike Commodore was our highest scoring defenseman that year. With 29 points. Followed by Tanabe with 17. In 2006 we had 4 D with over 20 points.

Plugging a defensive D in where you need a Corvo type just doesn't work. You need puck moving and shooting D to succeed in this league.

I am just ticked at the lack of effort and care the guys are showing. I think Scotty has been our one man that looks like he was aware there was a hockey game tonight... Somebody or something has to light a fire under these boys...

What shooting defensemen are UFA/RFA this year? We're losing a lot of money off the books. And while Staal does need that winger, any replacement for having Ward and Gleason on the PP is needed just as much.
