Who would play in Team Quebec?

Who would be the goalie? what would be the top 6? who would be the #1 defense?

I think the top 6 would be Vinny LeCavalier, Martin St-Louis, Simon Gagne, Marc Savard, Daniel Briere & Patrice Bergeron.

Why do these threads come up every couple of months and why do people keep on putting people with French names that are not from Quebec on their list?

Something like

Gagné-Lecavalier-St-louis
Pominville-Ribeiro-Tanguay
Dumont-Briere-Perron
Vermette-Bergeron-Burrows
Lombardi,Brassard, Bouchard

Not sure about Pominville since he play for team USA

And others roles players you could add

Latendresse-Bélanger-Bernier
Dupuis-Talbot-Lapierre
Veilleux-Lappérière-Pouliot
Bégin

The Defense

Beauchemin-Vlasic
Robidas-Letang
Gervais-Bouillon
Dandenault-Bergeron
Gauthier

The goalies

Brodeur
Luongo
Fleury

Brodeur and Luongo have already been on record saying that they would not play for team quebec if there was one. They're team canada all the way.

Marc Savard isn't from Quebec and If I'm not mistaken Jason Pominville lines up with his USA citizenship nowadays.

I would have:

Alex Tanguay - Vincent Lecavalier - Martin St-Louis
Simon Gagne - Daniel Briere - Jean-Pierre Dumont
Derick Brassard - Mike Ribeiro - Patrice Bergeron
Antoine Vermette - Mathew Lombardi - Ian Laperriere

Alexandre Burrows
Georges Laraque

Marc-Edouard Vlasic - François Beauchemin
Kristopher Letang - Stephane Robidas
Alexandre Picard - Bruno Gervais

Mathieu Dandenault

Roberto Luongo
Marc-Andre Fleury

To be honest, we'd have some problems with defense.

Quebecers don't like to play for their hometown..

Also forgot the fact that Quebec isn't a country.

Their goaltending best be on the top of their game. They're looking at 40+ shots a night with those guys in front of them.

The D would be below average-poor for a standard NHL team, let alone an all-star team.

They would get destroyed by other national teams loaded with prime 1st line all star talent.

If there was a Team Quebec... they would be disqualified before the game even started because they'd spend their entire time in the tournament partying with girls and they'd show up at games half drunk with a hangover and smelling of perfume with lipstick on their cheeks

Well, they'll get Souray and Phaneuf through the "defence equalization" programme.
