Place to watch hockey games in Tempe

I'm in Tempe and I want to watch the ducks game tonight. I'm not 21. Any ideas?

In Arizona you can go into most sports bars if you're under 21. You just can't order booze. What part of Tempe are you in?

If you have cable how about at home? Center Ice is free thru the 24th, I believe.

Bostons on Unversity Ave. used to get the package, not sure if they still do this season. Try calling them. Also Horse & Hound does a lot of the sports packages, not sure if hockey is one though.

Call Hooters or the Library on Mill. Other than that, the best options are outside of Mill like Dave and Busters in the Tempe Marketplace (make sure you ask for a speaker to listen to the game), or Philly's on Scottsdale Road north of the 202.

I'd call ahead to check on that. Some of them become 21 and up after a certain time. Also, he might have to sit in a certain section, or something, and might not be able to see the game from it.

I doubt that the Library will be showing a Ducks game. Also, I don't think you can be under twenty one in there at any time of the day.

I think I vaguely remember watching hockey at the Horse and Hound once. It's probably worth a call, anyway. Isn't there a Zipp's up in Tempe, or would the one in Scottsdale be closest? I think you can be under twenty one in Zipp's. There's a good chance you could get the game in there, too.

The Closest Zipps is Camelback and Miller. Too far of a drive when there's great options close to the ASU campus.

They have the NHL package but the reason I suggested he call them is to see if it's open to all ages that time of day.

If he's underage, Dave and Busters is the best bet.

As long as the bar/restaurant has Directv [most do] then Center Ice will still be free and available until Oct 24th.

It's fee on Cox, too. I don't know about Dish.
