And just to add to your discussion on Byfuglien. He is also biracial raised by his single white mother!
Why'd you have to mess up the fun with common sense? Sometimes you have to get down on 'their' level. Great win for Chicago. It's a shame that I actually like this team--especially Byfuglien and Kane. I'm a weirdo I know.
Also, lazy *** offensive zone penalties. Cripes sake Legwand, Erat...you're next to the ****ing goal don't take a penalty! It's not like they were going to take the puck at the blueline and go in on an odd-man rush, these penalties came BELOW the Chicago goal line!
There is something missing from this team. We're too passive or something.
Is it fair to say that if our next 10 games are as bad as the first ten that we could legitimately see some moves? Or do you think we will be stuck with what we have all year? Do we try to shake up the lineup through trades or do we make coaching changes? What to do........
At this point I think part of it comes down to coaching. I don't even know anymore. Mediocre players leave Nashville and flourish elsewhere. We really have nothing to lose at this point, best to try something new. The problem is that it won't happen. Probably not even if we finish out the season with 30 points or something.

As Ive said before, I have to think that Freeman and our ownership group are getting more than concerned at this point. If it was tough selling tix when we were pushing for a playoff spot, it has to be even more difficult with us losing the way we are. I know that it is unlikely that they will sign a "star", but they have to be looking at options right now, ie coaching change, player change, etc.
IMO, it seems like a coaching problem or maybe a flawed system our coaches rely upon too much. Everyone can have off games, hell even scoreless streaks and games where everyone sucks. But to have so many games where no one is able to really make something happen (with the exception of Suts and Weber the other night) makes me think that Nashvilles style of play and coaching are whats holding us back.
This organization has needed a shakeup for several years. The question is, can we survive it. Trotz isn't a bad coach. He truly is excellent at getting results. The problem is, he is one of the most inept offensive coaches in the league.....probably the worst.
Honestly we look like a soft, talentless team. I do think we need Toots back, if anything to make games less boring We have too much money tied up in mediocre players. It's sad when you get down 2 goals and it seems insurmountable (against a struggling goaltender, no less) Maybe a coaching change would help but it is unlikely to happen, and I just don't think we have a lot of talent really.

I said after the rout by Dallas that Trotz has five games to right the ship. I think he bought himself a few more games with some decent efforts from the team and the win in Ottawa on Thursday, but I can't imagine hanging on to him for more than another three or four games if the losses keep coming.
