If you're going to put Whitney on the point on the power play it damn well better be with either Lidstrom or Schneider. Hatcher and Whitney should never be on the points on the power play together and if you're going to put Hatcher out there he should be out there with his normal defensive partner, Chelios

lang hit the post... wow, we are just having the worst of luck today... ouchy

btw: whitney is on the point for a reason. Last season has had what i want to say 40 pp points last season or 30 something, i cant remember. He was brought in for his offensive game and PP ability and he this year hasent been able to do it unfortunitely. If anyone should be with whitney on the point on the PP, its lidstrom or schneider. No one else.

2-0 after 2 periods...

detroit definitly needs to come out and get a quick goal to bring them back into it, and help take the crowd out of it...

Is this a sell-out? I had heard rumours that the game wouldn't be sold out, but it certainly looks like it is.

Hatcher certainly isn't as dominating as he was back in Dallas, but then again i haven't seen much Wings hockey since he came back from the injury.

Also take into consideration a ACL injury which definitly takes more then 5 months to recover from. Regardless if he's back, he's still not 100%, it'll be a while until his form is up to date and his "speed" comes in. He might not be much faster but he is still trying to get his form up to par. I got a torn ACL right now and am 3 months out almost from surgery (meaning i had surgery 90 days ago almost) and i can tell you its gonna be a ***** for me to get back into hockey in a few months.

shanny has been VERY brutal this year. He needs to get with it this offseason if he wants to stay in detroit. He's atleast a notch below his former self

Looks like Schnieder just chopped Sullivan's leg, how Hatcher did to Stevenson.

BTW, Wings soooo close to a goal.

Preds cannot win a face-off right now..

Edit, nevermind.

Just won one, but iced it.

Well, they keep winning them, but they keep icing them.

I can agree with that. Whitney and Hatcher shouldnt be out there together. But I'd rather see Whitney out there, rather than Hatcher.

I disagree. I think this game was the Wings best game overall. They dominated 18 minutes of the 1st period. The 2nd was pretty uneventful. And the Wings controlled the play throughout the 3rd too.

Wings just didnt get the breaks that they got in the first 2 games.

Id have to Disagree. They might have had pressure on the preds, but pressure means nothing if you cant put it in. The preds did the same thing in the first 2 games and look where it got them. Manny let in some semi-weak goals, but then again he definitly kept us in it.

We definitly played good in the 3rd period. Lets hope in gm4 we dont see these horrible breaks like we did tonight for us.
