Colorado / Columbus

To Columbus
- Wolski
- Svatos
- TJ Hensick
- Stewart
- Salei or Clark
- 2nd round 2010 pick ??

To Colorado
- Jakub Voracek
- Nikita Filatov
- Kristian Huselius (Salary dump for CLB : 2 more years after this season, 4.750 million cap hit)

Now Columbus is a playoff candidate every year. Wolski would be the real deal for the Jackets.

Colorado has plenty of cap space. Actually, Filatov have a low value and he his a regular healthy scratch. Voracek could become a first line right wing and Huselius is a decent 2nd line scoring wingers.
Filatov and Voracek could be a important part of the Colorado future.

So the Avs give up their farm. Is this based around Filatov because if that's so then it's a joke

Might be around Jake Voracek. It's your choice.

These types of deals NEVER happen. Too many players switching sides. Plus the jackets won't deal 2 of their top prospect wingers.

Don't think Huselius is viewed negatively by Columbus fans.

Svatos has little value
Salei/Clark have negative value
Wolski is good
Hensick, Stewart and 2nd are decent

Frankly since Columbus doesn't want to trade Voracek, Filatov or Huselius (?) it's more of a quantity for quality trade from us. I doubt Colorado is looking to make drastic changes right now either.

Voracek is not going anywhere. Personally, I think he's one of the better Jackets thus far this year. He gained 17 lbs in the off season and has been using it to hold off defenders, work the boards and play a more solid game (confidence is showing). His vision is amazing too. He'll be a Jacket for a long time.

Jury's out on Filatov. Doesn't look ready for the game the way Hitchcock wants it played. Skill is there but he's "thinking" right now instead of playing. I don't think Columbus moves him.

Now Huselius...I think if someone would take his contract (2 years after this season at $4.75M I think) Columbus would listen but it isn't imperative that he's moved and his contract makes it a little difficult.

Guess what I'm saying is....No to the original proposal, not because the Avs players but I just don't see the JAckets moving Voracek AND Filatov (I don't see them moving either....)

Agreed. It'd be similar to asking the Avs to move Duchene and O'Rilley their top two center prospects. Just not going to happen.

Call me crazy but this is high way robbery for Colorado. They get a proven top six forward(Huselius) and two probably top liners(Filatov and Voracek) for 2 guys who have shown to be nothing but streaky players and a defenseive defenseman who they do not need. The rest of the package is not much.

Wolski and Hensick are the only things with any value in this proposal.

all I have to say is..

how does this make us a playoff candidate every year? Voracek and Filatov > Wolski and Hensick. The rest is garbage. It doesn't help us in any way.

huge facepalm.

No way the NHL ever sees an 8 player deal.

I would be interested to know when the last 8 player deal was completed.

That is an awesome video.

To many players switching, and I doubt the Avs make that drastic of a move.

Horrible for both sides. Say what you want about some of the garbage on the Colorado side, but Stewart is still a good prospect, and Wolski has 10 points (5+5) in 10 games.

And oh yeah, Colorado is 7-1-2. Trading half the team away would be moronic.

Getting 2 elite prospects in return? One who has 6 points in 8 games and is physically bigger and much better defensively that Wolski(and has been since he came out of junior) and another who has the potential to be a flatout superstar. Yeah, horrible for 1 side. This is the type of deal where any gm would be willing to say "eff it" to chemistry.

Agree with you here.

Colorado isn't going to go trade half of their team away. This trade kills Colorados depth.

Columbus would never trade two good prospects, plus a decent winger (even if his contract isn't amazing) for so many parts. Especially since quite a few of them are useless to Columbus and don't fill their needs.

Screw prospects. Wolski was drafted high and now he's scoring a point per game. Why in the hell would Colorado trade him for potential when he's fulfilling his?
