Random Question (answer: P E C O power play)

Leafs fan coming in peace.

I just have a question that's been bothering me.

What does the arena announcer say as the Flyers are going on a powerplay?

"And the Flyers are ____________ powerplay!!"

They couldn't take that chance last year - by the time they got the whole name out, Knuble may have Knubled it.

while we are discussing random questions...What constitutes a player getting tasteycakes when they score a goal? I have been trying to figure out what the rule is, but it appears as though it happens when ever JJ thinks it should happen. It isn't like first period, second period, or third period goals. It is isn't designated players. It doesn't happen on every goal. I am pretty sure it isn't "if you score and the time ends with an odd number" you get them type thing.

Anyone know the rule? Please help! It has been killing me for years!

I always thought that, as long as the team and the Tastykake company have that contract, that it was for every goal but they might forget to announce it sometimes.

Yeah. I think that's it. The question I have is do the players get the Tasty Cakes or do they donate it? Because Jeff Carter would have gotten real fat last year if they gave it to the players.

According to the wikipedia the tasy cakes are donated to the favorite charity of the player.

I'm fairly sure it's every goal, but it's just that Jim Jackson doesn't say it all the time.

I could be wrong though.

It dates me to say this but back in the day, the players used to get a case along with a case going to their favorite charity.

How do I know this? Rick MacLeish lived around the corner from where I grew up in Cherry Hill and he always greeted us at the door for Halloween handing out Tastykakes and autographs.
