I, and many others, have been satisfied with Price's play this year, the team played their best games in front of Halak, it's that simple.

Would you rather have Halak in net and a carousel of wingers playing with Plekanec and AK46

or

Price in net and someone like Frolov or Skille or Brouwer with Plex and AK46?

You and I both know the answer to that one.

My mindset is simple. You win and you're in. Period. Regardless of who the goalie is. The only exception would be back to back games.

In this situation it only makes sense to start Price on the road.

So many wrong things in this post...

1. Halak wouldn't get us Frolov
2. The team had nice starts with Price in net, but he let in those momentum-breakers on the first opportunity the opponents had.

I love both our goalies and I want both to win, because that means the Habs win... but in the last 9 months, even though I hate to quote Rejean Tremblay, Halak's been the best of the two.

I'm tired of the "5th overall" excuse... Montoya was a top-10, and while he's nowhere near as talented as Price, he's now officially a bust.

Halak's got the potential to be a #1 goalie in the long run, and so far, Price hasn't proved he's that superior to Halak, sorry.

Oilers sick with flu ---> Oilers Scout at Habs games ---> Metro catches flu

Answer: Metro must be on the block and met with Oilers Scout. Only possible explanation.

do you watch practices?

cause everything ive heard about Price at practice is that he has been working really hard all year and much more attentive and energetic than last year. So im not sure where your getting that from.

'So many'=2?

I agree that Halak has been the better goalie, but Price clearly has the much higher ceiling and is this team's 'number 1'.

Our goaltending, even with Price in over Halak, will be good for this year, our second line wingers on the other hand...

And I certainly wasn't suggesting Halak alone would get us Frolov, we have other tradeable assets, namely Sergei K.

I'm surprise to see Halak in the goal tonight but I think it's a good decision. Kostitsyn on the 4th line can be a great move. The 4th line was one of the best line last game ,Kost play with two guys that have everything to prove if they want to stay in the lineup(same with Kostitsyn in the moment). Chipchura or him are gonna score tonight

Yea i dont even know why i talked about the Oilers...i mean the NHL and teams are pretty strict when it comes to the flu taking special measures and its not like we faced them but

Who knows

At this point I almost want to see a big, dominant game from Andrei than us win.

Should keep both pictures in the order you made em for the people that are working and are going to check the GDT right before the game

Just makes it funnier imo to have seen the first picture

Price even said himself that the extra practice time would be used to his advantage to work on things.

He is probably playing tonight cause he was "lights out" in the difficult test he face against the Islanders last week....

Selective memory much

He also faced a red hot goalie (you know those goalies that usually hand us a loss because they're God for one game? ((usually a Quebecer goalie)) and the 2nd best team in the east so far this season

Stop trying to build up the confidence of one player, what about the confidence of the TEAM? Let Price learn a bit from Halak and his work ethic. Price needs some challenges, let's see if he's that good, if he has that much character.
