Oilers fall 2-0 to Vancouver

Continue here please.

Rest up and get healthy for Tuesday. We need healthy bodies and some energy for the next game.

Things have gotten sour in a hurry. That is all. Hopefully they can get healthy quick.

Powerplay cost us the game. Deslauriers was solid.

Oilers were NOT ANYWHERE NEAR THE SAME TEAM. They better kick Colorado's butt on Tuesday or I will get steamed...

Predictable, but what a boring game. The NHL should just keep the points.

But the top line had a few chances and it was mildly entertaining watching Kesler have a tantrum.

Back to back losses over the weekend equals terrible hangover for the work week. The broadcasting for that game was the definition of terrible.

Hate losing to the Canucks. Even more than the Flames.

Bad weekend.

Lackluster effort from both teams, though I thought both teams played well defensively.

Can't do much about the tips though.

That's pretty much the storyline right there. 0-6 including a long 5-on-3 and a 4-minute chance in the third.

Lots of opportunities, but they didn't generate much.

Too much individual play, too many E-W passes and not moving efficiently up the ice, O'Sullivan should NOT be on the point at any time. Ever. He keeps taking low percentage shots on the powerplay that normally ends up in a turnover and Vancouver clears the puck out of the zone. He kept doing that all game and it became quite frustrating near the end.

Deslauriers played well, first line played well once again but there's no support from lines 2-3-4. Brule is a faceoff champion.

We need another line to step up. The first line would have a great shift and build some momentum, and then the next line would come out and lose it

The two most annoying people I know just HAPPEN to be Canucks fans.. they don't even live in Vancouver. Just waiting for them to rub it in and spam my Facebook wall. Na, I'll just block them.

The game went pretty much as I expected actually. Boring game, no energy, Oilers out of gas by the 2nd period.

Thank God Visnovsky was not injured long term.

It got a little better but still WAY too many turnovers in our own zone. We need to get rid of Grebs/Gilbert for a shutdown guy.

We can't let this slide get to 3 or 4. Teams like Colorado and LA are doing better then expected and the usual suspects (San Jose, Calgary, Vancouver, Chicago, Detroit etc are going to make the playoffs). We need to stop the losing streak at 2. I hope Comrie is in next game.

Stortini on the PP is epic failure. He is useless.

Lubo-Smid are solid. The other 4 = not so much.

He needs practice but I see potential there. With Souray out we need someone who can shoot the puck from the blueline other than Lubo. We don't have another defensemen right now that's capable of scoring from outside of 25 feet or that can take a slapshot so I don't have a beef with that set up. He should however be on the second unit because Horcoff has the best shot on that group and that's just plain pathetic.

Brutal give aways again by the same culprits and the worst display of puck support I've seen in a long time. Pathetic positioning and bad passes.. Oilers were beat to the puck iin alomst every situation to.

Aside form the top line, Vis, Smid and Storts, the team was a no show.

Cannot wait for Souray, Comrie and Stone to get healthy again.

Well, they have tonight to sleep this off, hopefully start feeling a little better and then they'd better be ready to bust their humps in practice and then another sleep before a morning skate to prepare. Colorado is rolling.

Did they have Shorthouse and Garrett for the Oiler feed too?

We actually miss Staois with this lineup. Quite a bit.

There's just no way you can ice Strudwick, Chorney, and Peckham in the lineup all at once and not take a massive drop off on the back end. Chorney's played well considering he's a rookie, but he's still a rookie.
