Let's create threads with all of our players' names.
On Topic... No. A two goal game can happen to anyone. Remember when Bergy had a hat trick last year? To me, even a blind dog eventually gets the bone. I want him to do good, but he's gotta earn that cheer from me.
Too early. Good to see him crashing the net instead of going behind it. Also a two goal game is better then nothing but it is too early to say he is breaking out. You need a bigger sample from now on to tell. He has this year to prove he can have another contract.
I'm not sold on Tambellini, but I hope he's turning his career around. He's running out of chances with the nyi at 25.
There are younger forwards coming through Bridgeport, pushing for an nhl roster spot.
Certainly it is good that he has had a a few good games—but a few good games does not mean much. He needs to find it consistently.
If we arrive at the deadline, and the guy has 14 goals, 22 assists—I will say he has had a breakout year, and could have found a home. Adding him to a trade package would be less enticing to me—where as at seasons start I felt that he might be dealt as part of a package
But seriously—lets see if he can string a dozen games together. It's great for him—and I am happy to see it. I have always been an advocate to keep him here, and keep him in the line-up. I think the years where he was bounced around did not help him—and third and fourth line time did not help him. He is getting the chance to play with Bailey and Comeau and that could be something he needed.
Again—it is a wait and see.
Overall—this OT loss was easier to take. They were the ones to come back for a change.
speaking of which—other then the outright dud last week against the habs—this team has been competitive most nights. The 3rd period meltdowns are getting old, and are sickening—but they are a more exciting team then last year for sure.
We should trade him now, while his value is so high, for a first round pick in 2026. That way, we can draft a stud goalie to replace DiPietro, after he retires. The new goalie can't wear #39 though, that'll be retired for sure, after all the cups won.
Along with #15, of course, for his valiant 2 goal effort in an OT loss 17 years earlier.
some of you fans are crazy. tambellini has looked much better than he has at any point. he played well last nite, and yea the change in ot was bad, but so was streit stepping up at the blueline and not getting the puck or body, a fundamental mistake.
i know this franchise hasnt had much to cheer for but why would people constantly rip on a guy who is trying to change his game to be better for the team. tambellini has been finishing checks, actually going to the net with some balls and it paid off twice last nite.
3 goals in the last 2 games is a nice start considering he hadnt played since opening night.
and this isnt me saying hes a star, or he has turned the corner and will now produce, but cmon, the guy has worked hard and changed his style of play and now is starting to find the back of the net.
agreed. I know it was still a loss but come on he played great last night. 3 goals in 2 games and another shoot out goal. He is finally earning PP time and getting space to let his deadly wrist shot go.
