Stoll is a shooter more than a passer. It could just be me, but a lot of his assists seem to come from rebounds being put in after he takes a shot on net or are of the secondary variety.

I think after seeing how long Lucic is out with a broken fingernail, he has been getting kind of nervous whenever he fights.

But come on dude, NHL10 has his as a playmaker. So, he must be. Right?

hickey doesnt get traded in a schenn deal...no way jose.....Teubert does, as he is a similar type player and quite frankly, has a higher offensive upside, even though its still not that high.

I would do this:

Teubert
one of Moller/Purcell
2nd round pick
trevor lewis

Well then I guess we should just wait for the inevitable and let you sign him to an offer sheet. DAMN!! Why would old man FLetch even bother drafting this kid.

He fought the guy in your avatar to a draw. Apparantly some people think he's tough. If you want to see him win one, look beyond his most recent fight. But nice try troll.

I'm seeing a lot of quantity for quality in this thread. Some nice pieces to be sure, but still, no dice.

Schenn is worth more to this franchise than he would potentially reap in a trade.

no, he's not. ...many of the proposed trades have actually been pretty good ...though, Burke would prob like a tough US born d-man from LA (issues with Kessel aside)

Johnson has been LA's best Dman for the last year. No way DL trades him at this point (especially after that crazy contract).

LA doesn't need Toskala and he'd be a salary dump from the Leafs. So basically your proposal is Hagman and Schenn for Doughty.

Im going to sound very arogant but I don't care. The only way L.Schenn would ever go to LA is if B.Schenn + or Doughty comes back.

Couple things...

I think Luke Schenn would be huge for the chemistry of Kings and thus would overpay. Don't forget he and Hickey are good friends as well.

I don't think Lombardi trades our 1st if the draft is going to be in L.A.

I think in 2 years time when we know which of Quick or Bernier is our keeper this deal could get done.

Just for fun how would fans feel about this next year at the draft:

To L.A.: Kaberle + L. Schenn

To TOR: LA's 1st + Teubert + Quick + Greene + Stoll/Moller

Not arrogant at all, we know how it is to get attached to your young players with upside.

Who said they had to be similar players? I'd want Hickey over Teubert because he's the better prospect. If LA doesn't do it, no problem. It's not like we're tripping over ourselves to trade Schenn.

Lewis or Martinez

for

L. Schenn

TOR gets two quality prospects that would instantly go into their top 5 prospects. A physical shutdown defenseman prospect, a versatile center prospect that can play wing, was captain of Team Sweden and someone that Burke already likes, a 3rd/4th line 2-way center that can play wing as well that has good speed, and 2 high draft picks in a deep draft to compensate for having only one pick in the first three rounds next season.
Done from a Toronto POV.

I'd even throw in a mid round pick.

Puke.

Leafs trade the two best assets in that deal by FAR. Would any of those players come close to being as good as the ones that Toronto sends?

Toronto would be horrible without Kaberle. And without Schenn, we lose our new identity.

Think about it, as a Kings fan, would you ever in a million years consider trading BOTH Doughty and Kopitar?

whichever team ends up with both schenn's in a trade between the two will definitely need to OVERPAY big time

burke couldn't get it done at the draft and he only had to move up two spots so i could never see this trade getting done now

You have absolutely no idea what the **** you are talking about.

If you knew anything about Luke Schenn, you wouldn't think that.
