Nobody on this team has a clue how to score except Gaborik. They just missed chances after chances. Dubinsky looked awful passing the puck. Callahan missed every chance he could get. Drury Avey and kotalik where nowhere to be found. Higgins still can't score. I cannot believe Parenteau is the only one who can score. I would keep him just to add more scoring. Just to add a guy who knows how to put the puck in the net because everybody else forgot how.

Nucks fan stopping by, I've been going out of my way to try to watch as many rangers games as I can lately to watch Del Zotto play because he's looked really impressive to me but I wasn't able to watch this one (Only listen, which tells so little). Couple of question...

I noticed he played ~21:30 tonight which is a big step up from his usual 15-18 minutes, has he earned the ice time? I heard he made a few good defensive plays, how has his defensive game looked?

Was he at least a bright spot tonight or did he put in a poor showing?

Thanks!

He was a bright spot actually. Listen, he's flat out good. He's not weak on defense. And he's exceptional on offense. He has enough room for improvement in his own end. But, again, he's not weak. He's young and inexperienced. He will continue to mature physically.

He was probably the best Ranger defenseman tonight, Staal also had a good game.

MDZ stepped up at the blue line and made great hits, some on open ice. I love how he hip-checks its so old school and he's a natural at it. Noticed he forced a lot of turnovers as well, which is great. He was a bit shut down tonight in the offensive department but was making good set-up passes and holding the puck very well. Few if any turnovers.

He also showed great instincts on some big defensive plays including 2-on-1. Hard to tell this kid is a Rookie. Proud to have him on the team and most fans would agree with that.

Good news, thanks for the recap, must appreciated!

(I also missed the last half of the game getting rid of a virus I got going to one of the rangers streams =/)

Hahah. Well given the amount of grief the NHL gets and lack of respect from fans of other sports that we receive, it makes me happy to see fans of any team have such passion

Islanders fan coming in peace.

Just wanted to say how impressed I was with Del Zotto tonight. If only our front office could draft a high-quality defenseman like he is going to be real soon.

Stuff like that is disgusting...we root for teams, and we all take it pretty seriously...but at the end of the day..you're...a fan...rooting for other people...playing a game...

looked brutal.

Granted, I'm not much of a violent person, in any circumstances...but getting into a fight at a sporting event just because someone roots for a different team than you seems (to me) to be as far down the ladder as you can go.

It makes me laugh, Girardi played a hard solid game. the puck takes a bad bounce over his stick and now he is a bad hockey player. Again I am not saying he hasn't had his moments. but wow.

The Rangers will lose every time at the Colliseum if they do not or cannot match them with the same intensity. Anyone who has been a Rangers fan for a long time knows who ever is on the ice for the Isles, they play it like it's the 7th game of the Stanley Cup finals.
take a look at the young vet in net playing in upstate NY? This guy outplayed Hank in the playoffs a few years ago and has been ELITE this year as well. If he was playing for the bright lights of NYC he would be godly like some folks like to put it. Have to include Miller soon in this ELITE talk. . We just have to face it, Hank is great, but slamm dunk ELITE? It's been how many games this year? has he flat out stole one yet?
