The 'what the crap should we do?!' thread

A few blasts from the past there just so you could get my point.

I know it's early in the season but how long is Osgood contracted for? Please tell me he's not signed for another season? If so, would we better off just releasing him and paying him out if need be? Larsson/McCollum, potentially the best pairing in the AHL, are either likely to be ready by next season?

I'm putting all my faith in McCollum as being our goalie of the future.

And he signed after he was 35 years old, so he can't retire or disappear under mysterious circumstances without his salary continuing to count against the cap.

Might as well give Jimbo some rope and see if he can get going. Can't do any worse than Ozzie lately.

outside of the Sweden game, Howie's got a .936 sv% (that's w/ a 10/10 start tonight.) i'd say he's worth a shot.

At this point I'm willing to strap pads on Bertuzzi.

hopefully w/ Howard outplaying Ozzy by an extraordinary margin against the Nucks he'll pick his **** up. He can't play unless he has to work for the 1 spot. If he's the clear cut #1 he slacks off.

On the other hand, Howard looked alright. I agree we should get on his back and ride the rest of this road trip out. The skaters played very well in front of him(i personally think they have all year so far).

What's it gonna take, Is Holland going to have to call Ozzy out again and let him know we have other options besides him so he quits playing like a rookie?

I was all about staying positive and letting this slump pass like we always have in the past but, Ozzy looks terrible and something obviously needs to be fixed.

time to give the guy a few starts in a row.

He reminds me a little bit of Josh Harding, except Harding is stuck behind someone who is actually good.

Man my fantasy team is realing. And I have Osgood, which has been killing me. Howard is out there... I am thinking he is worth picking up and dropping somebody... Just to ensure nobody grabs the Detroit starting goalie under my feet. if that happens my team is doomed.

Thoughts?

It is too early to predict how our goaltending will go because Wings themselves just finally manage to win a game in a long time.

I would have dropped any Wings goalie long before if I were you.

And I wouldnt pick any Wings goalie again until this team starts winning in consistant basis... or show a glimpse of that.

I need to change the title to:

Stefan Liv, Logan Koopmans, Jake McCracken, anyone but Osgood; Howard.

Agreed. Which UFA goalies not named Theodore are available next year?

Seriously this is a joke. Seems like every game there is a discussion about whether to replace the starter. I'm so tired of having bad goaltending, every game their goalie is 10x better than ours.

What the **** is Ken Holland waiting for ?

Since they're already struggling to fill the Joe, what do you think will happen if this team continues to play like this?

Hamilton Red Wings ?
