I think such a sports megaplex would also be good for sports league in Laval as well, but the possibility of hosting some professional sports in Laval is also very interesting.
I though it was something interesting to pass to people here.

Vaillancourt is a mob and, sadly, will win again.

Question in the end, would it help the community more by renovating all arenas in Laval, or a sports team in Laval?

I'm a habs fan, I don't know if I would go watch the baby habs, and I would probably live 10 mins away in Montreal.

No idea how a team would fair in Laval, maybe good, maybe bad, but does Laval need their arenas renovated?

+1. Imagine how the media and then the blind sheep masses would crusgh their spirits after a few loses.

At first glance it would be cool, because it is local, but for player development.... it would be a freaking nightmare.

Why build a megaplex at a cost of 100 million when you have absolutely no guarantee whatsoever that it will be occupied for a major portion of the year? If you can't rent it then it's a white elephant and I'm pretty sure tax payers aren't interested in that.

That is the real question.

The idea is interesting, but like said above.. unless you know you can get a major (minor) team to occupy the building for a nice part of the year.. there is no reason and its just a waste of money.

maybe moving the Montreal Juniors there would also be interesting.. I dont know how good their arena is though... and i highly doubt it it would go through anyway.

what has vaillancourt done that is unsatisfactory? in his 20 years of reign, laval has modernized and developped. all the big boulevards are paved, finally got us a metro ect...i see no reason to change.

nobody who isn't armenian is going to vote for aboulian. she should just open up a Toyz Auto Art II in laval like her bro.

+1 real fans live in Longueuil anyways

Its be killer to have the bulldogs so close. 100 000 mil to make me happy its not a bad price

I think if its close to a metro they would sell out allot, might be a good idea if its for sure the Dogs would be there.

I doubt that the media would cover the Canadiens farm team as much as the NHL team. They might assign 1 or maximum 2 journalists for their games. The Montreal Juniors lost a bunch of games in a row and I don't hear a lot of masses screaming at them, mostly because RDS doesn't cover them a lot.

I think that if the AHL team was in Montreal, they'd have as much, if not just a little bit more, coverage as the Impact and the Alouettes.

I'd agree with that.
For the fans, it would be much better to see their future players and get a better idea of how good they are. Plus, it would also be good for those who can't get tickets to a Habs game or can't afford it.

Just wishfull thinking.

THAT's Vaillancourt's opposition? AH!

Poor girl, she doesn't stand a chance.

i don't know why she even bothers. her family is filthy rich. if i had a choice between running for mayor or cruising around in nicholas cage's former rolls royce phantom while couning all my money, i'd choose the latter.

Why not near brossard? Already got training facility so certain things can be cut out to slash costs.

She's hot though.

And there's no chance she's going to win. Vaillancourt has been there since the 1700s.
