During Free Agency periods each off-season i'll make a Free Agency thread, during that time you will post signings and negotiate with the agent's I hire. During the year if you want to sign a player that was undrafted you'll negotiate with me, when you offer me a contract i'll post it in the Main Thread to see if someone outbids you. Please include all details in the contract or i'll just assume something else.
If you want to re-sign/extend a players contract on your team you can do so by negotiating with: Sensational Spezza (only if your team if from the Western Conference) juice1815 (only if your team is in the Eastern Conference)
Once you have agreed to a deal with them, go ahead and post it in the Main Thread, i'll update everything into this one.
You are allowed to waive players but you cannot buyout contracts, they are just too confusing for me to deal with. If you sign a player and than want to waive him, you cannot do it until he is in his second season of the contract you gave him. When you waive a player and that player does not get picked up, you can either re-entry waive him or send him to the minors after the first waive. If the player clears from re-entry waivers, you only pay half the salary against your cap until the contract expires. Keep in mind, if you do end up sending the player you waived to the minors, you can only have 2 players that are waived and sent down to the minors. Players that do not have 2-way contracts CANNOT be sent to the minors, if you want to send a player down to your AHL affiliate the player will have to pass through waivers... your risk.
The players you drafted or drafted through the Entry Draft that have N/A listed beside them in the Cap Central part of this thread need to get contracts or they go back into the draft. After two years has passed and you still haven't signed a player you drafted to an ELC, the player goes back into the draft. I will negotiate all ELC contracts. Since I don't know the compensation of a contract for Entry-Level's ill use previous picks in the past to get a cap hit for the player that you want to sign. 3 years is the max you can offer on Entry-Level's and every ELC is a 2-way contract. You can negotiate these with me all year long.
Keeping Track of Rosters
Just in case anyone is confused as to why i'm listing everyone's roster again, I will be keeping track of how the rosters change each year to make since it's interesting to see how that changes.
