Only caught the last 12 minutes, but disappointed to hear Lee struggled (as did most of the team, apparently). Not surprised that some are willing to give up on him after one game though, some of the same that preach patience with others.

Ruutu is having a great season so far. He was one of the few who met expectations last year, so nice to see him keep it up. Also like the way Kelly has looked.

Without Spezza, our center depth looks awful.

Oh well, it's still funny that Meszaros can be on the team that blew us out, yet he was still a -2. Top pairing defenseman my ass. So glad we're not forking over 4M a year for him.

Tough loss but we did have our top forward, top defenseman and #1 goaltender missing in action. Can't wait to get redemption on Thursday, hopefully without Pierre friggin McGuire

Count us out of the playoffs, if the SENS can't win measly games like this one, they have no chance whatsoever of creeping, seeping, or squeezing into the playoffs. No chance, no way.

actually Regin looked fine for the first couple of periods (I paid less attention after that), one of the few. Kelly looked good..you mix his heart with Kovalev's hands /drool

Cheecho/Kovalev sucked as per norm

it is just annoying reading comments about how Lee would instantly make our team better and be in our top 6 core over Camps and Picard when there is a CLEAR reason why he was sent down.

Clouston already said that Lee has to be PHYSICAL if he wants to be a defensive defensemen

yet ppl still hold sights of Lee from his play 2 years ago when he was called up near the end of season and looked alright... Well our defense was crap back then ppl it isnt hard to be better than them...

The Sens know what they are doing, they had it right with Carkner and Picard and had it right with Lee by sending him down when he just isnt physically there

I thought the score flattered Tampa, to be honest. There were stretches where the Sens played well, but couldn't buy a goal. Tampa had some breaks which lead to a couple of theirs.

Tampa deserved to win, but Ottawa could have made it more of a game, if they could have scored earlier.

McGuire, as usual....spewed his usual man-crush hyperbole, which made the broadcast hard to watch. TSN needs to learn that colour commentary, doesn't have to be pink! I'm surprised McGuire wasn't handing out Valentines to the affections of his love on the Lightning.

To Ryan from Pierre,

Roses are Red, Violets are blue
Ryan my love....can I blow you too?

Love Pierre.

Blow everything up, lets rebuild.

Seriously. I thought Pierre made a good point that this is a tough road trip especially for teams in cooler climates. Play back to back games in heat like that has to drain you. Plus Volchenkov- who has been our best D, and Spezza, one of our best forwards werent playing

Ahh that's bull. Only McGuire could make that point, the heat is bringing down the Sens play? First of all they're playing inside a hockey rink, second of all I gurauntee the heat is the least of their worries on the ice. That's like saying the Sens aren't playing they're best because they had corn instead of their usual peas tonight for supper.

Every team is going to lose these types of games every now and then.

Wow just noticed 9 of our next 10 are at home, minus one game in Philly (which ill be attending). Hopefully we can go 7-3 or something in that stretch.

Kovalev and Cheechoo are dead weight, why are we paying these two $17 million over two years.

Ridiculous.

Was Michalek benched in the 2nd? I didn't notice him from part of the 2nd to his shorthanded breakaway in the 3rd. Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention.

Kuba is 30 and injury prone while Mez will be playing much longer.
The - stat can be a team stat as well...Meszaros is a fine young "D" that will continue to help Tampa for several years, good luck Andrej!

As for the doomcriers, we were without our #1 goalie, our #1 centre and playing a bad team. This team is a lock for the playoffs and unless they want to be called chokers and underachievers, they'll advance in those playoffs as well.
