He looked like he controlled the PP one shift like he usually does out there when he is playing confidently. That is his most valuable asset to the team and one they be trying to make him comfortable in. Basically all they have to do is gain the zone and give Kovalev the puck on the right boards and he will set everything into motion on the PP. I can't really argue that he has had some games where he has been more of a negative then a positive so far, but it's still very early in the season and if he can find his place and his confidence he will get things going. In all fairness he could have a lot more points then he has if some players had finished off some of the passes he made.[/QUOTE]

Actually when the other teams scores off your turnovers it doesn't count as points for you.

I'll agree he controlled the puck well on a pp last night but nothing came of it.
I can think a of a few times like the Pass he made to Alfie against Boston where the player was unable to finish the play off. As far as the PP yeah it didn't produce, but it will if Kovalev can find a comfort zone on the right boards on the PP. I don't believe it did any better when he wasn't playing on it. In fact the PP looked like it didn't have much of a plan when he isn't controlling the play on the right boards. As I said maybe if he has a little more time to adjust to the new team he will play with more confidence and bobble the puck less for turnovers. It's only 11 games into the season so far. He still has 5 points and as I pointed out he could have more then that.

I imagine that would go exactly like that.

I didn't see the other team score because of a Kovalev turn over lately...

Oh I see sorry... Still honestly, even tho I can't really say anything bad about Alfy, he's been Ottawa's best player, I think he made a lot more turn overs than Kovy so far.

Boston was a good game. I know the last 2 minutes sucked, but if we play like that we'll win and that's more important moving forward.

The other 2 definitely sucked though, but at least last night could be expected to some extent.

Whoever is running the PP for the Sens must be fired. It's brutal. They just stand there passing it back in forth with no real oppourtunity to score. It looks like a team of PK Subban's out there

Greg Carvel has been through 4 coaches, he's not being fired.

Through those 4 years he's run the PK, which is one of the best in the league. It's never come out who runs the PP, but people just assume it's Carvel.

Off topic but 50 cent's new cd "Before I self Destruct" leaked the other day, just listening to it now... and its sounding fresh for you hip hop fans out there. Eminem killed that pyscho track as well, almost makes you wish 50 wasn't even on it.

As for the game, I puked in my mouth a few times but we can't win them all and I think we have a good team, better then our points suggest in the standings... so hopefully we can still continue to sneak in under the radar stealing points till we are ready to start dominating.

It is always frustrating getting one's ass handed to him by such a lowly team.

They are lowly on the road but very good at home, no regulation losses.

Mike Fisher, Bryan Murray, Joe Corvo.

Pretty brutal game all around, the PK still looked good at least.

Hopefully Spezza and Leclaire will be good to go tomorrow and the team uses this loss as motivation to pound a Kovalchukless Thrashers team.

Lloyd Sweaterman just said Spezza isn't playing tomorrow, still injured.

Perhaps Spezza and his hot trophy wife are getting funky on Hallowe'en...

Atlanta doesn't have Kovalchuck so this are looking pretty good. We need a win that we can be proud of (Although beating atlanta isn't really someting to be proud of). Win by more then 1 goal in a nail bitter is what i mean. I'm hoping to see them be awesome tomorrow.
