What the ****, Hank and Datsyuk? Those were the weakest back-to-back shootout attempts..If you're gonna shoot it, at list put something better on net than a limp wrister.

Zetterberg is like 1 for 987 in shootouts.

34% isn't that bad. that's like league avg.
Datsyuk 47%, Williams 44% both are pretty decent

This team needs a sniper.

And a goalie.

And a defender.

And a few first round picks.

On the bright side, Howard doesn't bite on every deke like Osgood does. Too bad our "superstars" can't pot a goal on what is essentially a breakaway.

Should've had Eaves, Helm and Ericsson in the shootout

I've never seen a team give up this many goals a game. It's absolutely sickening!!! And I saw our wonderful pk gave up 2 pp goals other wise we win this game 5-3

Ok, so we suck at shootouts, but at least we got a point.. The Oilers had a 4 goal lead, twice.. I'll take that one point..

Yeah, it took a perfect shot from O'Sullivan to beat him.. Howard did his job in the shootout..

I think Datsyuk thought Khabi thought he would go for a deke so he tried to catch him off five hole, would have been awesome if we could have got 2 pts this game but I'll take the 1.

Positives - We might have a good third line in Eaves - Draper - Helm

but that makes the fourth line Williams - Abdelkader - Leino/Maltby/May

It might be worthwhile to try Ericcson with Lidstrom he seems to be playing well offensively just making lots of bonehead plays in his own end, maybe he needs some early season mentoring.

Flip overall has had I thought a solid start to the season, but today was probably his first actual poor performance, but I do think the hit Brule gave him was from behind but oh wells.

Hopefully it is nothing serious though cause we do need him at Centre.

Even though Howard played better I either want to see us give Larsson a look or sign another goalie for cheap.

Thats the best thing to do is just accept we came back, accept we got a point and move on. We can *****, whine and complain about this game but whats it going to do? we came back, we showed some determination for once and players who played like **** were benched [leino, ok one was benched] and players who worked their god damn ass off [helmer, eaves] were rewarded with a lot of third perod play as well as a shift or 2 in OT.

cant blame howie in the SO either...

How would you feel if the Wings lost 5-0?
Think about that and
it could've been worse

Some of us did say the year was going to be a bit rougher, but I don't any of us expected it to be quite like this......

Sigh. It'll be interesting to see what it's like to be a fan of a team that struggles to win.
