Odd period. Avs had some promising chances, but mostly looked like they were trying to keep up. Anderson deserves credit for keeping the score even.

Theyre keeping it tight, but I think its lucky to be 0-0 right now. I can sense the club is waiting for the right shift in momentum to catch the Sharks offguard.

The Sharks definitely won that period but the Avs weren't completely terrible either. Our PP was bad but the rest of our game was decent. Andy kept us in it with brilliant saves, Nabokov was lucky we missed our good chances.

Honestly, Nabokov is still a premiere goalie in this league. Nabby can still steal games, he's just had a bad time lately. No way is he "crap".

And I know you guys don't want to hear this, but if Andy ever goes down, this team is out of the playoffs by a long shot.

True that our PP is bad , in fact it's bad since Liles left . But he's back tonight and give him a few games to be in shape and our PP should be clicking again .

Built for endurance. A better Osgood.

He's on a team that doesn't give up alot of shots, but when it comes down to the wire (the playoffs), he can't get the job done. He's had his moments (4 OT game against Dallas), but for the most part hasn't been able to step it up.

That's why I don't like him. He's talked about as a top 5 goalie in the league, but that just isn't reality. You take a Vokoun, Roloson, Biron, or Bryzgalov (that is, goalies considered to be middle of the road) and put them in the same situation and they'll get you the same 40 wins.

He's been good, and at times great (04 and 07) in his career, but a good GAA isn't enough to convince me. As I said, he's on a team that doesn't give up alot of shots (fewest, 2nd fewest, and 5th fewest the last 3 seasons), so it doesn't surprise me that it's low.
