I was hoping the Ducks would win against the Canucks because if they lost I didn't think they would lose a sixth game in a row against us, but I'm not too confident about the fact that the Ducks scored seven unanswered goals.

Still though, hopefully the Ducks will be nice and tired.

I just hope the Ducks can carry the plays into this game. Obviously nothing's been proven yet regarding Carlyle's performances right now. The pressure was on us to win tonight and we did against an injury-riddled and worn out Canucks team. Phoenix is a whole different story. Keep that 3rd man supporting the breakout, keep the passes short, charge up the middle and not the side boards and we'll do fine.

The next 4 games will really give us a good idea how this team will be ...This could easily be a 0-4 record.

Anaheim
Colorado
LA
Chicago

These guys can't lose focus .If they take any shifts off against any of these teams it could be lights out .
On a side note , Mueller has scored a hat-trick against these guys before , let's hope he can find "it" again

OT I hate Dallas . Those guys keep getting points even in losses

Their blueline is much less scary this season. It'll be nice not having to see Chris Pronger's big, dumb, dirty face 6 times a year. The biggest problem is the Corey Perry line, but judging by the Ducks' record, it hasn't carried the team by itself. Mind, I say this because, judging by the Ducks' record, nothing has carried the team, by itself or in company.

We've been there before, haven't we? Fourteenth in the conference, the goalie, improbably, can't stop a beach ball even though it's physically too big to fit into the goal, forwards can't score in Tijuana with hundred-dollar bills stuffed in their jockstraps, and to say that the defense consists entirely of traffic cones would be giving it too much credit because it's really just as mobile as a line of jersey barriers along the highway, and about as bright.

And then they go into some other team's building and, if only for one or two nights at a time, play their ***** off and ruin the other team's evening.

They look like pushovers at this point, but I really hope the Coyotes don't take this one for granted.

Don't get it. Maybe Fox was already locked in to the KS OK game? I'm thinking tonight will be the smallest crowd (actual bodies) of the season. I'm thinking it will look like a mid-week Roadrunners game in there.
The scheduling gods are not kind on Halloween.

Artyukhin's suspension is over. Wonder if that means BizNasty will stay in the lineup. Will Upshall be back in? Who sits? Korpikoski?

Mueller had a tough game last year against the Ducks when he embarassed himself and turtled after Getzlaf went after him after a unintentional hit with a stick....then he was concussed by Neidermayer.

With the Duck tough guys, maybe we'll see Pyatt sticking up for a teammate tonight.

A prime opportunity to show off the teams 'Pack' mentality, and to protect home ice.

Hopefully the Yotes can get on the scoresheet first, build on it, and then stay away from any Duck shenanigans.

Matchup-wise, this is an important game as it's a chance to build their lead over the Ducks to 9 pts, or it could be reduced to 5.

Honestly, I'd settle for an OT/SO win.

Because Fox Sports' contract with the Big 12 and Pac-10 trumps their contract with the Coyotes. It doesn't matter if that college game involves a local team or not, the football contract comes before the Coyotes. Since there isn't an OTA partner right now, all of the Saturday games are not televised. IIRC, all of the Saturday games in October and November the last two years were on AZTV.

I'm not too sure about that, it is a lot harder for me to find the tickets I want for this game, I'm not saying it will be sold out or packed but there will be a good amount of people. Usually I can find tickets that I want in a good area but I'm having a hard time today.

That means they'll have to go 8-16-1 between now and Christmas. Yea they're off to a ridiculous start but that would be a collapse of epic proportions.

Thatīs not impossible that this could happen. The record they have is just ridiculous for a team with an - 10 rating in SOG- SOGA. Itīs allmost impossible that Anderson will keep the winning at this pace up. You could say the same thing about Bryz with his nice record, but the yotes are + 4 in the SOG-SOGA department. I think thats the big difference why the yotes can maintain in the PO race even if Bryzgalovs save% could drop.
Another interesting stat when comparing the yotes to the avs is
the avs record is 10-2-2 against opponents which point avg is 12.5 in the standings or 1,01 PPG, while the yotes are 8-4-0 in games against opponents with 15,0 pts avg in the standings or 1,23 PPG.
So I believe itīs a safe bet they will drop, but how fast they will thatīs the question.

This year's Phoenix Coyotes. Well, we didn't have Stastny or Wolski, so I don't think they'll fall quite as hard, but I agree, they can't burn this brightly forever. They're bound to fade.

From the sounds of the preview on the Yotes website Upshall will be in tonight but I guess we won't know for sure until right before game time.

Last week I bought a couple duck confits at Costco. Pre-cooked, $ 9 for 2. 10 minutes in the oven. Delicious.
