News And Notes

Quote:
The Panthers have confirmed that Taffe will be called up; according to Kevin O, Taffe didn't practice today and has a 6 p.m. flight to Texas.

Kevin also said to look out for Keaton Ellerby as a possible Bryan Allen callup this weekend.

Dominic Moore is not on the trip because he needed nasal surgery after breaking his nose against the Flyers on Saturday. So now that's three players missing time because of that game. The Panthers hope Moore will be back Wednesday against Carolina.

Primary Target

James Neal, a future great LW for the Stars has been shining brightly, even though he seems to be confused about the laws of gravity. Nevertheless, his name will be iconic for...um...that's not really a memorable name is it? Oh well.

Red Hot Cat Of The Night

Steve Reinprecht, leads the team with 5 goals, picking up another one last time out.

Since the last time I predicted a score the Cats won so, Florida 2 Dallas 0 with Vokoun getting the shutout and there will be an empty netter to clinch the victory.

No Prediction as the situation has changed-CLEM IN GOAL TONIGHT

This game will probably be a snooze fest.

Hopefully DeBoer gets his head out of his ass and starts playing guys that actually deserve their ice time ie McArdle.

McArdle's one game entitles him to more ice time? Where do you dream that up?

Hopefully they play the same way they did lat game and there's a chance they'll win.

3-1 Dallas

1-1 for majority of the game, we miss a bunch of chances, then we take stupid penalties in the 3rd (probably Stillman), then they take the lead late in the 3rd and finish it with an EN.

We're playing against Auld? We might be able to score more than two goals tonight.

if you listened to the post-game interviews after ottawa, you have the feeling this group is beginning to come around. i didn't have a feeling one way or the other (W/L) with ottawa but i thought they'd play well. i think this could potentially be a big weekend. i'll miss the games next week but am on my way over to the garden to pick up tickets for the Bs game on the 12th. i'm gonna say (with a little bit of hope here...) that we're at 5-8-3 by then.

So how many games does he need to play to get more ice time? This isn't rocket science, whoever shows up to play should get more ice time.

This isn't rocket science, Kenndal McArdle is not going to be a productive offensive NHL player.

Dallas are a good team, but statistically speaking, we will still 1/3 games atleast, so a win here is not that unlikely.

I see a close game here, but not us coming out on top. 3-2 Dallas wins. Yes, should be a snoozer.

Whats your point? Since do you need to a productive offensive player to make an impact?

He showed more heart and hustle than most of the Panthers this season. Also, he generated some scoring chances.

With our luck he's going to get a shut-out win.

Goldstein reports on Twitter that Clem is in goal tonight. All bets are off as far as predictions.

Interesting if Clem wins tonight as that would mean of the Panthers three victories, Clem 2 Tivo 1. Of course DeBoer could also pull him after two minutes so Vokoun could get credited with the loss.

Just to be clear, I'm not "turning" on DeBoer, I just thought that was clever what he did.

However, DeBoer shares some of the blame for sure.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as StrangeVision. I haven't turned on him yet, but I can't stand when he sits players for no reason, well no reason that I can see at least. I thought he did a great job last year. Anyone is better than Martin.
