Henrik is lucky he didn't tear his ACL or MCL right there.

Lundqvist should just stab the next person that runs him with his stick. This is getting ridiculous

Finally some accountability. Unfortunately, Boyle deserves better linemates.

Callahan with a bad turnover on the PP again. He needs to tune things in.

Yeah, but Del Zotto has been raking up assists via his excellent passing. What has Rosy done offensively?

Del Zotto has had as many passes blocked or more than he has had good ones. And his assists are a result of playing on Gaboriks pp unit, which Rozy has not.

Isn't that somewhat the nature of creativity? For every nice pass I might make, I get another blocked or a misconnection. The point is that I'm creating and seeing things others may not, and trying to do more in the process.

After the past two games all I can say is:

Hello, Dane Byers. Goodbye, Aaron Voros.

I thought it was a pretty good first, we had a few good chances, and Henrik looks pretty solid. Also, Gaborik doesn't look like his knee is bothering him that much.

There is a reason for that. Rosy stinks on the PP

lol, Rozy couldn't make the same passes DZ did even if he was on Gabs PP unit. Rozy had the past 4 seasons to man the PP and still couldn't rake up the assists.

His eyes are bigger then his current ability. But that will change with experiance. Rozy is the exact opposite, not as flashy, but makes the safe play when he can.

Seriously... there is a reason why Del Zotto is on the PP unit (running the damn thing I might add), while Rozsival is not. Rozsival has had 4 years to prove he is a PP QB, which he sucks at.

It's not Del Zotto's fault it was so easy to steal the PP spot from Rozsival. It's not tough winning a spot when your opponent looks like Happy Gilmore on the PP.

I remember when Derek Morris came over and passed the puck on the PP. I remember my first thought was: "Wow! How smooth! Is that how it's supposed to look?" Easy to be impressed when you're used to watching Rozsival and Redden fumble the puck over for half a season.

But I think that will happen, even with experience. It's just the nature of playing that game. However, not every player has the ability to play the ultra-creative game that DZ does. And if there's anywhere to be creative, it's the PP, where he has excelled. The extra room, along with the man advantage to get back in the case of a missed or blocked pass, is quite conducive to it.

Rozy kinda, sorta sucks at manning the PP. There's a reason our PP has been a piece of crap the last couple of years. Rozy is too afraid to shoot and when he does shoot its always blocked. He also doesnt come close to having the vision and passing skills that Del Zotto has.

Quoting myself to add to my point...

Those passes don't work most of the time, that's why they're considered risky and not the safe play. It's not necessarily his eyes being bigger than his skill level. If every NHL player's skill level rose to make those passes all the time, things like that would become quite commonplace, when in fact they still "wow" us. It's just a different way of seeing the game and having the confidence to try those plays, which DZ has in spades.

To make my point more clear; Im not saying Rozy should or shouldnt be on Gaboriks pp unit. I think MDZ has a great future. but. He isnt a power play demigod yet. He has a lot of room to improve.
