Volchenkov's dad played for CSKA.

There's a bunch of descendants playing in the KHL.

Valeri Kharlamov's son Alexander was drafted 15th overall by the Capitals in 1994 and played a couple years in North America, but went from the AHL to the ECHL to the WCHL before he went back to Russia.

Viktor Tikhonov II, the grandson of the (in)famous Soviet coach, played one season with the Coyotes (he's now on their AHL farm team.)
