Buf<-> Nyr

To NYR: Roy(4.0), Sekera(1.0)

To BUF: Dubinksy(1.85), Girardi(1.55)

-Rangers get a decent #1 center for Gaborik and a solid, young #4 two-way defenseman on a great contract

-Sabres get a young #2 center and a good defenseman on good RFA deals

I actually think about it. Not sure I want to move Dubi, but I consider this. Solid proposal, though. Being on the fence about it usually means the other side is pretty good at propsoing something LOL.

Decent proposal. Roy would be an offensive upgrade for NY; one that would mesh well with Gaborik. Dubinsky would be a great fit in Buffalo's aggressive system and Girardi would help to strengthen their back-end.

I will say no thanks. Unless this is for a 3 way deal, Roy is not the #1 center the Rangers need. Don't want to make a trade just for trades sake. decent proposal.

I honestly don't see a need for a new C for Gaborik with the way Prospal feeds him the puck lately.

No way. Roy >> Dubinsky and Sekera = Girardi.

If Roy is ever traded, which I highly doubt he will be, it will not be for a 40-50 point center.

The fact that Buffalo is dumping some salary can't be ignored.

Of course NYR would love to trade their 40 point center for a 40 assist center.Roy put's up more assists then Dubinsky puts up points. Not even close.

The way Prospal has been playing at this time we don't need a new 1 center but if we had Roy playing on the second line it would push Drury to the 3 rd line(after yesterday he might be the 4 th line center---Torts way of start playing better or else). As much as I like Dubi Roy is a better player by far.

Agreed I don't think Buffalo would do this trade but this is a way better deal for the Rangers then the Sabres.

It's insanely better. Sekera is better than Girardi, and Roy would instantaneously be our 1st line center.

Gaborik-Roy-Prospal can hang with the best of them, especially the way Prospal is playing.

Sekera is better than Girardi? seriously? I thought Rangers fans had a collective chubby for Girardi... no? Sekera on the other hand has had a bit of a fall from grace after his self-proclaimed mental breakdown at the end of last season. I thought Girardi had significantly more value than Sekera, someone help me out here

I think he [Girardi] does but then again Roy has significantly more value than Dubinsky. The Sabres get worse offensively in this deal and I'm not sure they get an adequate replacement in Dubinsky, while good, is not Derek Roy.

On defense I think they upgrade a fair amount, Girardi is no slouch, but he is one of those amazing one day, wtf is he doing the next day type of players.

why? Roy's contract isn't exactly a bad one. In fact, it's the best contract we have on any of our top 6 forwards.

The only way Roy (and his attractive contract) gets move is if it's part of a package for a better player.
