It may have changed but the games they were talking about were regular season.

As for them not getting the team, mouser thinks they will and he seems to have at least one finger on the pulse of what's going on.

Correct, the Icde Edge proposal includes playing 5 regular season games per year in Saskatoon. Initially they wanted some playoff games too, but backed off on that.

You're right that IE would like to have 5 regular season games in Saskatoon.
What I am saying is I doubt the NHL would let that will happen. That's why pre-season games are more believable.
The NHL appears to lack confidence in IE for 2 reasons:
1) Lack of adequate financing
2) Lack of experience running a professional sports franchise

IE's interest is definitely there, but there are other groups for the NHL to consider.
It's only been 4 weeks since the NHL got the team out of bankrupcy.
In the meantime, we need the fans to fill the seats, although that will still be a challenge until a new owner is announced. An improvement in the economy would help too.

Now that it's confirmed Ice Edge has signed a letter of intent with the NHL to buy the Coyotes we're going to move the topic over to this thread:
