I'll say this about Janik... It's weird seeing someone else in Sammy's #37.

Meech looked great tonight. So does Datsyuk.

Leino confidence is low right now he will be back to form soon.... I hope.

very strong 1st period

solid D
osgood was very good.
key players scored.
only 1 penalty

need to win more faceoffs. zetterberg has only taken 3, b/c he has been expelled from the circle so many times.

lebda has played more than anyone but stuart.

He will. Filppula will soon give him some good counsel. At the end of the day there's no way Fil wants to be to only Finn in that locker room.

Did anyone else catch that thing about Boston being the only team with a winning record vs Detroit THIS DECADE? Maybe next decade.....

Yeah, even when Boston sucked they beat Detroit handedly.

This game seems like two injury depleted teams going at it, but Detroit has a better team game. With Thomas usually bailing the team out, I can't say I'm sad to see Ozzy doing it for the Wings.

Anyone else notice the headshot on Nick? ugh, big pk here.

Boston hasn't looked like they know what's going on other than a few chances.

Would anyone in their right mind take Chara over Lidstrom???

NO WAY.

How many seasons is it going to take before Kronwall realizes that stupid move will always be called interference?

Nick looks alot better now that he doesn't have to cover for Rafalski all the time.

And yeah, he kinda lowered his head before impact and cought an elbow.

On any other team someone would've taken care of that guy, but not Detroit...

The Wings look great positionally. Janik doesn't look too bad, either. His passes aren't great, but hes been where hes supposed to be.

Leino rebounded well, he looks like a totally different player.

I like the fact he isn't trying to lead the rush, the fact he has calmly moved the puck. I'm hoping he could be that smart conservative #6 we need.

I've had an interesting suspicion. What if Babs switched Willy and Leino? You'd have three good skaters on the 3rd line and a guy who can hold onto the puck on the 2nd line.

He's been very "nuts and bolts", so to speak. Check, support, get the puck out of the zone. Theres no telling what hed look like on a regular basis, but I'd like to see someone in that 6th spot who plays a basic, defensive game. If Janik gets a few games over Lebda or Meech, I woulnd't mind.
